THE NEW YORK TIMES NUMBER ONE BESTSELLING AUTHOR After 9/11, the United States made one of the most secretive and dangerous deals in its history. The evidence against the powerful Saudis who coordinated the attack would be buried. In return, King Faisal would promise to keep the oil flowing and deal with the conspirators in his midst. When the king’s own nephew is discovered funding ISIS, the US president suspects that the Saudis never intended to live up to their agreement. He decides that the royalty needs to be sent a message and that Mitch Rapp is just the man to deliver it. The catch? Rapp must do it entirely on his own. Forced to make a decision that will change his life forever, Rapp quits the CIA and assembles a group of independent contractors to help him complete the mission. They’ve barely begun unravelling the connections between the Saudi government and ISIS when the brilliant new head of the intelligence directorate discovers their efforts. With Rapp getting too close, he threatens to go public with the details of the post-9/11 agreement between the two countries. Facing an international incident that could end his political career, the President orders America’s intelligence agencies to join the Saudis’ effort to hunt the former CIA man down. Rapp is now at the centre of the most elaborate manhunt in history … AMERICAN ASSASSIN , book one in the series, is now a MAJOR MOTION PICTURE starring Dylan O'Brien ( Maze Runner ), Taylor Kitsch ( True Detective ) and Michael Keaton. Kyle Mills took on a daunting task when he took over from the late Vince Flynn, but frankly, I feel that he has done an excellent job of ensuring that Mitch Rapp lives on. I have read all the Kyle Mills/Vince Flynn books and have not been disappointed. I can't agree with those reviewers who question Kyle Mills ability to produce a story worthy of Vince Flynn. Vince was a hard act to follow, but Kyle has certainly stepped up to the mark and I would have no hesitation in recommending any of his books to Vince Flynn/Mitch Rapp fans. AnOn Review: Another Page-Turner from Flynn & Mills - Classic Mitch Rapp adventure, full of the usual characters plus Rapp’s new love interest and bad-ass figures from previous operations. Nasser, head of Saudi Intelligence makes a convincing and formidable adversary in a compelling and credible terrorist plot. Kyle Mills has adopted the Vince Flynn mantle almost seamlessly, adding age and maturity to the younger Rapp’s character in an engaging literary style - full of perceptive insights into the real-life geopolitical challenges facing the USA and its endless war on Terror. One of the best Rapp books in recent years.

Fast paced, all the loose ends tied up
Always so satisfying reading this series where you can guarantee there will be twists and turns galore but that every loose end will be tied up. Fast paced spy novel, you'll want to keep reading so make sure you've got some hours free over several days!! Highly recommended

Great novel which keeps you interested from start to finish, I have read many books with similar themes but this is no doubt the best, please keep up writing books like this. Regards Ian Laidlaw

another good read
Mitch Rapp is a believable character, as are the stories, no one reading these books really knows, as to what happens in the world he lives in, unless you’ve lived there too, just enjoy the book for what it is, another good read. Norman Bell

Gripping like all the rest of this author’s work.
Obviously far fetched but the description of American politics is interesting as it has the hint of reality.

Great escapism.
Addicted to these books. Spies, evil, politicians, loneliness, justice, loyalty the list goes on. Maybe not a literary masterpiece but the sort of book and books you can curl up with and escape to a world very different from the one most of us inhabit. Rapp represents the modern day American hero. He is different from everyone has his own demons and motivation for what he does but underlying this is a strong sense of what is right albeit from where he is coming from. I will be reading every book.

To me ok but not the best
I’m 41% through I pre-ordered this as I have read all the series. This is killing me I’m shocked. To much rubbish not enough Mitch I’m skim reading and i don't want to, but its just tosh bla bla bla its going nowhere. I hope i eat humble pie this is no where near Mitch Rapp it’s like, cant think of an expression I’m not happy. Ok finished the book not the best one for me, Ok I enjoyed it (in the end) and happy with the introduction of new characters this is scope for future operations/missions. However I don't think I'll pre-order next time I'll wait and read some reviews first, its put me off a bit.

Another good story
This is the 16th book in the prolific series of spy/assassin novels created by Vince Flynn and continued by Kyle Mills after Flynn's death in 2013. The novel was published in 2017 and was a continuation of the prior novels, The Last Man, The Survivor, and Order to Kill. The book is just under 400 pages and like Flynn's novels and the two novels in the series that Mills at least partially wrote, it reads fairly quickly. This book continues the storyline that was set in Saudi Arabia during the last book. The novel is set sometime down the line from the events of the prior book, and we find out that the Russians were not the only ones behind the plot to bomb the oil fields in Saudi Arabia. The nephew of the ailing Saudi king is discovered to be funding ISIS and Rapp puts together a team to go after him. The book brings back many characters from the prior novels, and yet again, sets Rapp's life on a new course. Overall, the book is very good. It seems like with this book, Mills really found the balance between writing the story as Vince Flynn would have likely done so, yet making it his own. The prior novel, Order to Kill, felt a bit off to me, and not like a book that Flynn himself would have written. This book, however, feels like, had Vince Flynn decided to write this story, this is how he would have done it. There is a similar blend of action and suspense and a similar amount of downtime between the action sequences that Flynn used in his books. It is definitely worth the read.

Almost perfect thriller!!! Mitch Rapp is the best!
This series is so good! Kyle Mills is doing an amazing job continuing Flynn's stories and building on his characters. This was a great story, Mitch Rapp is definitely one of my favourite heroes.

It’s Mitch Rapp, enough said
My favourite ‘bad guy’ on another impossible mission. Good story and lots of old and much loved (or hated) characters make their way into this book. The atmosphere is palpable and the situations are extreme, but what do you expect from Rapp? Most enjoyable and highly recommended.

Great read for fans and newcomers alike.
Enemy of the state has a similar feel to the other Mitch Rapp books, but tries a different approach to the international espionage game. There is a nice selection of characters from previous books that reward the dedicated reader, but also don't leave a newcomer confused. The plot of the book is believable, but I personally felt the threat to the main characters to be low. In previous titles, I worried as I read. In this title, I felt very little impending doom. (Not to say that nothing happens, no spoilers here) While it is different than previous books, I cannot fault it. I started reading the series two months ago, and finished this book in a day and a half. Overall, great read and I'm left wanting more!
