Will it work with other daws like garageband?

Hello, Yes, this should work in garageband without issue. Keep in mind though that you can't record every track separately. Only the stereo mix. If this was helpful, please consider purchasing from us (pixelproaudio on Amazon). We can help with support after the sale as well. We have it in stock and ready to ship. - Pixel Pro Audio

Is it possible to add or connect a powered subwoofer to zed14 and how to connect?...thanks

not by iteself. you would need an active crossover like the DBX 223 and run the outputs of the mixer to the crossover. then then sum to low out of the crossover using the button on the back and the highs to your monitors or power amp. I got my crossover used on ebay for much less than retail.

Is this a powered or unpowered mixer?

If you are asking if this mixer has an amplified output stage, no it does not. It has standard line level outputs. It's a very nice product with clean transparent preamps. USB out only supports 44.1kHz sampling rate. Overall it's built well and sounds excellent. A very good deal for the typical price. I own several mixers and this is now my favorite for location work.

Hi, Would you recommend a Yamaha MGP Series (Not MG) over the zed? I have tried to do so much research on the mixer, zed has no compressor built in

Hi. I use my mixer only for connections in my home studio. I don't need EQ, FX. If you you need mixer for "live", I recommend this one: http://www.allen-heath.com/ahproducts/wz4-14-4-2/or, if you need mixer "all-in-one", this one: http://www.presonus.com/products/StudioLive-16.0.2
