Is it possible to add or connect a powered subwoofer to zed14 and how to connect?...thanks

not by iteself. you would need an active crossover like the DBX 223 and run the outputs of the mixer to the crossover. then then sum to low out of the crossover using the button on the back and the highs to your monitors or power amp. I got my crossover used on ebay for much less than retail.

Is this a powered or unpowered mixer?

If you are asking if this mixer has an amplified output stage, no it does not. It has standard line level outputs. It's a very nice product with clean transparent preamps. USB out only supports 44.1kHz sampling rate. Overall it's built well and sounds excellent. A very good deal for the typical price. I own several mixers and this is now my favorite for location work.

Excellent Mixer with Effects...Won't break the bank either!

I orginally bought a Heath & Allen ZED-12FX from an online music distributor (who will remain anonymous!). It turned out that I need more inputs than what the unit had. So, I decided to upgrade to the ZED-22FX...actually found it cheaper on Amazon...more than $150 cheaper! Same quality as the "big guys". This mixer has it all...enough capability to turn your basement into a studio, or play out somewhere on a medium-size gig with ease. It will easily handle any external music device and any instrument/XLR mic input. The 3-band EQ is fairly straight-forward to use, and you can even adjust the amount of effect to each channel...a nice feature if you want more reverb on the vocals but a lesser amount on the drums. The effects are definitely studio quality, and will stand up to an rank-mounted effects you can buy. All sliders have a pro-feel to them, and it even comes with the Roland X2 Sonar (Calkwake) software to record directly from the mixer to your laptop using the included USB cable. I use it for every gig my band plays in, and all of our practices too. I even go direct to my powered FOH speakers and the sound is clear as a bell! I highly recommend this mixer, you will not be disappointed!

That's the A&H sound!

This is the sound of A&H! It's really compact and functional for PA and also recording. I'm using this at home studio. Good cost performance!

Buy a better model than this one

Only USB interface is no good if you own a nice audio interface already. This board does not have enough quarter inch in/out options.

Love the Headroom

However.... the durability of this product is very weak!!! sad to report that not even a dozen gigs in less then a year and the outputs have diminished....repair will take, according to several "official repair sites" 6 - 18 weeks. thats it! going back to the "lesser" YAMAHA!!! IT NEVER FAILED ME!!!
