Fantastic
Moved onto this house three years ago and the oven has always been problematic. It's a Rangemaster so it should be decent. I purchased the new catch, bulb and rubber. The catch was perfect. Took just five minutes to take the old one off and replace this one, which also included cleaning the oven door It works perfectly and wiill be great when cooking. Fir just a few pounds it's really good value for money. Really happy - although quite mad at myself for not doing this before.

Just the job for my Classic 90
Perfect fit for our Rangemaster 90 Classic. Fitted in just a few minutes. Important to use correct screwdriver both for undoing and reusing the original self tapping screws (none supplied with the latch), so as not to damage the head, and to exert enough pressure for self tapping on installation.

Genuine Part *Easy to fit
Very good price, half the price direct from RangeMaster. Arrived within 18 hours. Slight upgrade as the rollers are now metal rather than nylon (which had split after 15+ years) Came with a new catch bolt, that I didn't fit as it wasn't required. Took longer to find a 7mm socket for the bolts to remove/attach it, than it did to swap it out. *Only issue was the holes weren't tapped. So firmly screw the bolt into the hole clockwise to create a thread before trying to attach it. That's the only reason for giving it 4* otherwise a good replacement.

Range master cooker door catch.
If Rangemaster had designed the door better so that you didn't have to take the outer skin of the door off, to get to the catch, it would have been a 2 minute fix, not a half hour fix.

Excellent
The catch on my cooker was getting very stiff, so I thought I’d try replacing it. It’s an easy fit as another person suggested, search for a video tutorial “how to replace a door catch and striker pin on a rangemaster cooker”. Easy to fit, works like a dream.

Not quite the simple swap over that you might think.
It's not mentioned but no thread is cut into the mounting flanges so at first I couldn't understand why the fixing screws wouldn't go in! I was about to return the latch but then called Falcoln/Rangemaster who confirmed that the thread is cut by the screw itself. So before fitting I forced the machine screws through the flange holes and yes, it did cut a thread. So just be aware it's a little more involved than just swapping old for new. Additionally I squirted graphite powder all over the latch to reduce the force of closing which I hope may lengthen the life of the latch. If you haven't got any graphite powder then running a pencil around the moving parts is just as good.

Easy to fit for Rangemaster Professional + oven
This replacement door catch is so easy to fit that I'm really annoyed with myself that I put up with a door that wouldn't keep closed properly for so long! All you need to do is take the front of the door off - 4 screws that on my oven are a hex head, then 2 bolts/screws (7mm on mine, might be cross head screws on other ovens) and that's it the old one is out, simply replace and you're done. Door catch kit came with the bolt catch (sticky out thing) as well which is even simpler to replace, mine wasn't worn but I decided to replace it anyway for the hell of it, all you need is a pair of pliers, undo the lock nut and then unscrew and replace the catch bolt. A really simple DIY job that pretty much anyone can do (or at least should be able to, if you can't do it you probably aren't safe to use a cooker anyway!)

Worked 100%
Just what was needed to get our Rangemaster oven door closing properly. Easy to fit but as has been already pointed out, the fixing screws are self tappers and need a fair bit of pressure to tighten. I'd also highly recommend getting the nylon hinge bushes at the same time. They cost very little and will have the door closing like it was new.
