are these good for carving out large chunks of rock in one peice?

Good long lasting tool. May not be the best choice. Trying to control the size of my digs, i prefer a large chisel or bar and a strong Estwing mash hammer.

Why the information says that the shipping is free, but when i proceed to buy, its giving me a shipping amount?(Im from Bulgaria,Sofia)

Geologist's hammer/pick

This is a well made tool, well balanced and just the right weight. It has a beautiful leather handle that feelscomfortable in the hand. I have had two of its companion tools from Estwing, a claw hammer and a small hand axe for many years and they will never wear out!

Is the safety label a joke

I bought this as a geology hammer for fossil hunting. The safety label says it is not to be used for hitting rocks. Just hammering stakes. Is this hammer a scam?
