This is one of the safest and best products on the market for hair color. I've been using it over the past year. I don't ever do anything close to permanent color and usually use demi permanent which tends to be good, but can give the wrong color often times and I have to wait for the fade out to be really happy. I was hesitant to use Glaze not knowing what it would do to my older, slowly graying fine somewhat thin short light brown hair but I'm so glad I took the plunge. I went with the lightest color caramel in order to take it slow just in case the color went crazy like other products I've used. I use it every couple of weeks. I love that it's so fun and easy to use. I get up in the morning, put it on my hair, let it sit for about 20 minutes, then jump in the shower and wash/condition/dry as usual. No extra bottles, no gloves, no mixing. Glaze along with my usual products gives me extra volume, bounce and just enough color to soften my grays, highlight them nicely against the brown I still have and the shine is great! I will use it as long as it's available. Anyone waiting to use it, just try it, the color fades over a few days and you can try different colors until you find the right one without risking your hair's health. You can also use it to boost any color that you may be growing out. For short hair, the bottle lasts quite a while.

Confessions of a kitchen beautician here. I had a birthday present hair cut and dye . I know you can’t tell from the photos included here intentionally on my part but my hair is mid back so it’s $$$ to go and get it done. And as such the botch job on my hair was devastating. The base was way too dark. Cue Amazon panic scrolls to try and fix what the Salon who didn’t understand the assignment (twice I might add). Long hair story short I bought a dye from a German hair brand that begins with S and it did what the box promised and lifted 4 levels. Only my n00b self forgot to account for the fact my roots didn’t need that kind of power. As such my dark blonde natural base became a coppery bleach blonde. Cut to Hot Roots entering the chat and refusing to change their tone. I have thrown the veritable kitchen sink at it. It could be worse truthfully but it’s all I see: The lighter roots glaringly obvious. To add insult to a self inflicted injury it makes my hair look like it’s thinning because of the contrast. Being desperate I bought a root touch up kit in light dark brown which I put on first which no hate to the French brand that begins with L’ but it didn’t do much. And slapped on this glaze after. Don’t worry with appropriate drying time. Where I did not follow the rules here is I left the glaze on longer about 1hr 30. The Good: While it does kinda sorta look a little better head on. I still have hot roots sigh. Perfectly aware this is not what the product was designed for but it did help. Though the lighting is very yellow and showing otherwise it looks at least fuller and closer to the base. But I was not really doing the whole auburn thing but I’ll take it for now. For the medium of it all my hair feels very well conditioned. And as the bottle also promises, it has lovely shine so rest assured on those two fronts it provides. The smell is also reasonably pleasant. Kinda like a fancy salon shampoo. The bad: It did not tone the blonde that you see in the first image. Those blonde bits were erased by the root touch up not the glaze. The blonde remains almost identical to the initial images pre-root smudge for reference. The bottle shows caramel and honeyed tones to that tone of blonde. The caramel highlights one. So that didn’t really happen. Can’t tell you why but my color is cursed generally at the moment so 50/50. The product didn’t deliever and I am very very disappointed with myself. All I wanted was a bronde and I got an unwanted “hair journey”. So maybe take that into consideration. Overall, it’s a mixed bag guys. Fixed the problem I didn’t expect it to but didn’t fix what I intended it for. Hot roots blended, hair conditioned and shiny but blonde untoned and ashy. While probably I’m gonna have to dye it all dark and wait for my roots to grow out ?!? Maybe their other glazes on not a hot kitchen mess would work better. But probably would not repurchase.

I got highlights for the first time in years and didn’t want to go back to the salon to spend tons of money to get my hair toned or dyed again so I decided to try this out. I’ve been using it since March 2024, with an auto subscription for every two months since the bottle says it lasts 10 washes. One bottle gives me at least two washes and I damp my hair put on the product and then I shampoo. I have greasy hair so sometimes I shampoo first and then try to get my hair to be as lightly damped as possible before putting the product on. Overall I really like it! I definitely see a difference as it definitely makes the too light sometime orange coloring turn a nice brown (using the coco one)! It is a pain to get it out of the bottle sometimes but no biggie. Remove the top and just tap it out. I definitely notice a difference in not only in the color but the shine and frizziness the best when I style my hair with a blowout or with a hair straightener. My hair is generally frizzy and I don’t expect it to do much when I air dry. I haven’t had any issues with my hair falling out personally and I even like to leave it on for longer than 10 mins to test how brown I can get my highlights. Overall I definitely recommend this product! My highlights are a year old and I still get compliments and people think they’re fresh!!

Absolutely love, color is amazing. Can't go wrong with it. Helps blend and tone your hair and highlights. Doesn't have that salon dye smell either. Left my hair very smooth and conditioned.

Sadly, this product did not do what it is supposed to doI In fact, instead of moisturizing, it left my hair dry. It also did not deposit any color, even if meant to be subtle. I noticed no difference at all, except for drier hair. I have medium light brown causasian hair and I expected at least some highlighting or a little bit of beginning grey coverage (like the picture) but alas - no difference at all. I bought "caramel lights." I will try again, maybe I didn't leave it on long enough or use enough or whatever, but the only good thing I can say right now is that it has no smell.

I get my hair highlighted once a year and toned every 3 months or so, so in between the salon appointments my highlights get a bit more yellow than i prefer. I tried this product last night and it worked better than i expected! I applied it to clean damp hair- and let it sit for about 15 minutes ( 5 minutes longer than recommended) but i really wanted a bit more color pay off. I only used half the bottle which was pretty good considering my heat reaches my waist. I blow dried and curled it and it is noticeably softer and shinier with a lot more bounce. I did not notice any greasy residue which i was worried about after reading the other reviews. So far i’m very happy with the caramel tone it gave my highlights, so now i just hope it lasts a bit longer than other reviews have said!

All this product managed to do was leave my hair greasier than it was before I got in the shower. No change in colour or shine, unless you count the oiliness. After double shampooing before applying and then rinsing the product out thoroughly, it shouldn’t leave my hair feeling like this. And not even worth giving it the benefit of the doubt and re-shampooing next time since it’s had no impact as a toner or deep conditioner. Don’t waste your money.

Dont buy this, it does not work

Ich habe das Glaze zum zweiten Mal verwendet. Das erste mal auf trockenen (fettigen) Haar, das hatte gar keine Wirkung. Das zweite mal auf feuchtem, frisch gewaschenem Haar sieht es toll aus! Schöner Glanz und sogar meine Natur Wellen werden betont! Ich hatte zuerst Sorge, alles würde glatt und schwer sein. Aber nein. Meine Haare sehen schön gepflegt und shiny aus! Einziger Manko: die Flasche! Am besten direkt den Deckel aufschrauben und so das sehr feste Zeug rausdrücken. Die Flasche ist viel zu fest und ich fürchte auch, man kriegt nicht annähernd alles raus. Eine Dose wäre hier viel sinnvoller! Und ich brauche wirklich viel! Dafür zwei Sterne Abzug. Man braucht einfach sehr viel und die Flasche behält bestimmt eine Anwendung zurück….

Pflegt die Haare, hätte allerdings noch mehr Glanz erwartet.
