Q: I need to upgrade my network rack, but does the19" rack shelf (cabshelfv1u) and the cyberpower (cps1215rms) fit this rack?

Yes. Any standard 19" Rack Mount device will fit. I have one of the shelves and 2 of the same surge protectors.

Q: Can the wheels be left off and the rack be bolted to the ground?

Yes, the wheels are optional and the 2POSTRACK42 can be bolted to the ground. This requires additional hardware which is not included with the rack. Atha, StarTech.com Support

Q: Is this compatible with series 2 rack studs, red, purple or duo?

The 2POSTRACK42 has an "Enclosure gauge" of 2mm which means the Series 2 Red will work. Series 2 Duo should work as they are rated for rack rails that are between 2 -3.2mm thick but Purple will not as they are rated for 2.7-3.2mm. Brandon, StarTech.com Support
