There were no instructions so how does this work

Fill empty bottle about 1/2 full with water. Screw on the pump tightly. Pull & push the lever at the opposite end of the spray nozzle. This will pressurize the bottle - if it was a soft bottle before you’ll feel it get hard & the Pump will get harder to pull & push. Simply press down on the button on top to spray the water. Twist the metal nozzle to adjust the spray from fine mist to stream until the water stops, then pump it up again. Hope this helps.

once it's pumped up, can you use it to just spray air? I want a replacement for wasteful "canned air" to blow dust from my keyboard at high pressure.

Although it will shoot air & with the nozzle loosened to get a strong burst, w/a 20 oz. bottle , you'll only get several short bursts at a time. So depending on how dusty your keyboard is, you'll need to pump quite a bit to get enough bursts to clean it. But it does generate free compressed air blasts.

can it fit on a regular plastic water bottle?

Yes, but it does not work with thin water bottles, the pressure does not build.

Excellent gadget - can use any standard pop/beverage bottle. Adjustable metal nozzle & multi-directional option to aim water is a great feature! Delivers everything from fine mist to pretty powerful stream. If dispenser button is depressed you can keep a steady stream going my manually pumping for as long as you have water in the bottle. Orherwise, pressurized stream spraying Tim is a little short but it only takes a few pumps to recharge

It can water my Camellia Senises Seeds

I bought it for maybe putting down cayenne pepper (dissolved in water) to prevent my tomatoes from being eaten by caterpillars. Never got a chance to use it for that purpose. Excellent in abilty to water, Even though I haven't used it for the functions I know it would work for them. Downside I think the "grease" will wear out quick.
