I ordered the dark brown vent. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. The fixing holes were pre-drilled but you do have to find your own plugs and screws. There is also no mesh behind the lats but I was ok with that.

Good and strong construction, works well, price is right

Feels a little cheap, but it’s been up about six months now and it’s doing ok. Gets a bit rattly when the wind hits it full on

I fitted this flap shutter today just after it arrived, and it's a good item. Mine is in black to match an existing wooden door, and it mounts up very neatly and unobtrusively. Lift the flaps and you'll see four ready drilled holes, and I fitted them each with a stainless steel screw to mount it to my door. When in place the front stands proud of the door by only about 10mm. The flaps close entirely under gravity and have no springs and the rear spigot is about 30mm long. It push fits inside a standard 100mm duct pipe. A good item and one that I'm happy to recommend.

Average quality , easy to install on rigid ducting, no problem opening when cooker hood in use and vents close when cooker hood turned off. Looks good in this colour. BUT it won’t last long on my wall as the vents rattle even in light winds - may try weighting the flaps but to avoid the hassle will likely just replace it - not cheap at 9.99 - thought I’d pay more and get better quality but ended up just paying more - disappointing

We have this in our kitchen and it works very well at getting rid of typical kitchen odours quite quickly. Bearing in mind it is a powerful fan, there is obviously some noise but I would say it is quiet. The vents have reduced the back draught but not stopped it, even with an external grill too. Whilst in operation there is a little LED at the bottom which is a little pointless as you can hear it and see the vents are open; of which open some time after the fan has started and also closes a few seconds after power is lost. It shows the need for a permanent power as well as switched, but I do not have a permanent power; I presume this is only for the timer function as thankfully the vents still close as they appear to be motorised which did worry me at first when they remained open. All in all a very good fan for the price, and to be honest it looks better than many of the high street brand ones I have been looking it so I would recommend it.

I have moved into a new house and the bathroom fan has a 6" outlet with no cover, so the wind whistles through and makes the bathroom very cold (perfect for a room where you are guaranteed to be both naked and wet at the same time!). Bought one of these to stop the wind getting in. Perhaps my fan is a slightly different size or I should have bought something to connect the two pipes together, but unfortunately this grille is slightly too big for the fan pipe and blows off when the fan is turned on (quite comical to watch). Fortunately I bought some one inch Gorilla Tape , wrapped it around the outside of the fan pipe about four times and put this grille on creating a very tight fit. Came wrapped in a thin sheet of bubble wrap and a black plastic bag, wrapped with tape. Fortunately not destroyed by the Royal Mail monkeys at the sorting office. I now have a warm bathroom and am very happy.
