How does the box attach to your head?

There is also an extra piece of cardboard with an oval hole cut in it you can insert inside the box to use for head alignment. Honestly though the head is rather cheaply made and poorly detailed so i made my own and just utlized the jacket. My 4 year old now plays with the cheap box head

Nope. You only get the robot head and the jacket not the pants

Is the box head collapsable? Easy to travel with?

It comes flat and you put it together. Not sure how easy it would be to re-fold it after you decorate/assemble with the "ears", ect. Sorry.
