My husband got me this for Christmas last year and it took me a while to get to it, and I’m so upset with myself for waiting so long because I had SO MUCH FUN!!! I obsessed over this from the moment I started until it was done! I finished it in a total of about 5 days but I used pretty much every spare second I had working on it 😂 It was so therapeutic to snap all the little pieces together! You make all the small pieces bit by bit before putting it all together and each piece felt like an accomplishment! I showed my husband every little part and said “Look! I made this! It’s so realistic!!! 😃” 😂 I felt my stress levels lower so drastically as soon as I started this project! ❤️ I LOVE the finished look too! It is so magical! I actually have it sitting on my bookshelf in my library right next to my tarot card collection and it is like a little portal to another world! It added so much life to that shelf! It’s the perfect addition to any library and the PERFECT HOBBY for anyone that likes to get crafty! I loved it so much I asked him for more this Christmas 😂 My ONLY problem was the cauldron! Almost every single one of the pieces broke, and there were no extras (which was surprising considering all the little pieces that had extras included that didn’t break lol). I almost gave up and bought a miniature plastic cauldron instead, but I’m really glad I decided to get creative with what I had instead because it looks so good in the finished piece! I obviously managed it after much trial and error in the final products as it’s clearly in the video, but I had to use hair clips like wood clamps to glue a lot of the pieces back together (so if you come across this problem, that solution works GREAT! Lots of glue and a whole day to dry and the pieces are SOLID! lol) 😂 That was the only frustrating part but in the end it felt like a creative accomplishment lol 🥰 The light system is also really cute and easy to set up! I was intimidated by that but the instructions are really clear and simple, and I loved how the different wood pieces clipped around it to hold it in place or disguised it to blend in! These are perfect gifts! The price is so affordable for how much enjoyment I got out of this! Highly recommend!!!

This is my second DIY bookshelf kit. It's light years easier than the first one I purchased, and it turned out so nice! Okay. The directions that come with this are amazing. Everything is labeled well. It's in color. It's almost fool proof. There are only a couple of times when I messed up, but they were on little tiny parts, that I was able to remove and do over. Almost every delicate or small piece in this kit has a back-up, and you will be thankful about that. (Some other kits have almost no back-up pieces, which is frustrating). Snapping pieces into place, especially the thin ones, you will likely break at least one. Some pieces will tend to be difficult. I used my thumbs, and ruined my thumb nail trying to put pieces into place. LOL I do tend to use glue to hold most pieces down, just in case. Regular glue (or some cheap wood glue) works perfectly. Many pieces don't really need it, though. This kit has the wiring all ready to go. You don't need to do any soldering, or taping of wires. WOO HOO!! The last time I did a DIY kit, I had to have my husband help entirely with the lighting. This time, it was so much easier. I did it 100% by myself! And it all works! LOL It's touch lighting, which is awesome. I wasn't sure how it would work, because the mechanism is on the other side of the wood. But it really does. So cool! The colors on this are beautiful. It all comes together so nice! Very professional looking. It even has a dust cover that slides into place. I absolutely love this kit, and want to send it to my cousin and her kids. It's a fun family activity, or one that pretty much anyone could do 100% on their own. You'll be so impressed with it- and with yourself!- when its finished!

I was honestly surprised by the good quality of this product. Reading some people’s negatives review I was first skeptical but got completely positively surprised when opening the box. This is for people who have patience and enjoy attention to detail and a beautiful end product. The main pieces are all made out of real wood (I honestly thought it is plastic, it’s hard to tell from the pictures). Extremely detailed and ornate elements. Work with some tools like small screwdrivers and tweezers to separate them. It’s easier than it might first appear. There is a small screwdriver and even a small file included. The LED light pack is good quality and easy accessible through a door on the back. Also easy to assemble… All over the manual is easy to understand. Follow some simple steps and pay attention to all the details and u will have a great end product. I saw some negative reviews here, probably from people who don’t have the patience and blame their non succeeding on the manufacturer. People… You have to look at pictures in the manual and copy what they show you!! Dahhh it is really not that hard… There is videos on YouTube which explain everything in detail, there is tips and alternate ways to put it together. Find it all online; no reasons to blame others … Also the way the finished product looks is amazing. It’s so much better then I honestly expected for the low price. It’s Absolutely worth the price and a super fun and relaxing thing to do for a rainy/wintery afternoon. Don’t skip steps, there is a reason why they do it in that order. The only thing what I would personally change is to NOT put the lantern (literally the first step in the manual) on the wall in the beginning. Wait nearly till the end to glue it to the wall, I broke mine of multiple times (lol) while assembling other elements, BUT it was a super easy fix and nobody will ever know!! Again, super fun, Absolutely worth the money, very meditative and relaxing and a way better quality than I expected …

This was the first time I put one of these together and now I can't wait to buy another. The directions were not always clear or easy to understand, and I had to go online to see how others put parts together, but I had fun none-the-less. Every piece comes on boards that you have to pop the pieces out of and assemble. The material is sturdy and good quality, and stickers have great detail. Some tinier pieces have back-up pieces in case the first one breaks. TAKE YOUR TIME POPPING OUT THE PIECES! I broke a couple of them because I wasn't paying attention; luckily it had back-ups. The attention to detail is beautiful. The lights throughout are illuminate the nook so you can enjoy all different things inside. Also read the age limit. My 12-year-old loves doing crafts with me, however, she would have gotten frustrated with this build and abandoned it because of all the little pieces and constant glueing. Also, the instructions don't tell you what you will need to assemble. Some type of glue and tape (NOT included) are required for this build. I used tacky glue, but others posted they used super glue or wood glue.

This was a mostly fun, sometimes frustrating project I got for my wife's birthday this year. The kit is mostly well engineered, but there are a few places where things could be improved. First the good: The pieces are well finished and relatively easy to remove from the parts sheets. As the pieces go together, the finished look is amazing for the size. The finishes on the walls and furnishings is well done and adds to the finished product. Overall, I'm pleased with it, and I'm very pleased with the final results, even if it is relatively fragile (which I expected). The bad: The major gripe I had with this kit was with the way the laser cut pieces were attached. While I understand that tabs are required to keep the pieces in place, it seems the default tab placements were used. The result was places where the visible edges of a piece had places which required some cleanup, causing the tab locations to be very obvious on the pieces. I spent extra time using colored pencils and markers, recoloring the exposed edges so that they didn't look so horrible. Since tabs are not as important for structural rigidity in laser cutting (compared with routing/carving), it would have been nice if time was spend aligning the tabs so that they were never on the exposed surfaces. Apart from there, there were a couple of places where the marking to guide a part's location, were slightly off, causing the markings to still be visible after a part was glued in place. Overall, I enjoyed working on this kit, and wouldn't hesitate to do a similar one. Just know that beyond the expected tools and adhesives you'll need, you'll also want some way to color/refinish the visible edges (and in some cases the back sides which can still be seen in some instances). The pictures I've attached are of the one I built for my wife. She loves it, and I got to be reminded of what it was like building model kits when I was a kid.

This was so much fun! It took two days and I really enjoyed putting this together. The instructions could be a little better but other than a few steps, were fairly easy to follow. The structure is very sturdy and looks amazing! The pieces are good quality and there are backups provided for the ones that are more delicate. But I never needed to use a backup! The details in this are amazing!

I’ll begin by saying I’ve put together a number of these book nook kits before. This set is gorgeous. The art is beautiful, many of the pieces have been printed on both sides, and there is not one thing I felt I needed to change or customize to make this set “better” as I’ve found with others. That being said, this was the most challenging one I’ve ever done. The directions were clear, and there were more than needed “backup” pieces provided. So, that wasn’t the problem. I think the overall way pieces had to fit together and the way the wiring needed to be routed made this one more difficult than most. That being said, I would not choose this one if you are a beginner to these type of projects. I feel like this one is meant more for those that are accustomed to these kinds of kits. If you are, you will not be disappointed! It’s gorgeous once put together.

I almost never write reviews- especially positive ones- but I must! This was a great purchase! The kit itself is organized extremely well, instructions are clear and have several pictures to help guide you, the pieces are strong and don’t break (with other brand of kits similar to this, I’ve had several wooden pieces break). In the whole kit, I only broke one small piece and there was a backup of it included! I hyper-focused hard on this. This could be a nice meditative project for some— instead, I completed it in two sittings— probably about 12 hours of work all said and done. Tips- you’ll need your own scissors, glue, and batteries (two AAA). I used both craft glue and superglue. Tweezers are helpful when holding some things in place or putting something small right where you want it. Everything comes already colored. Pay close attention to which way pieces are facing— some sides are not colored, but the raw side won’t show once it is put together. Keep a tray or bowl to keep track of pieces you are working with so they don’t get lost (I dropped one of the tiny books in my shaggy carpet— it may never be seen again). Most importantly, don’t punch out pieces ahead of time— they are expertly numbered so there is no guesswork. So much time saved if you don’t have to figure out what goes where. It is very very intricate with teenie tiny pieces. You put together every little piece! It doesn’t come with a little piano, you put it together with 16 little pieces. The chessboard has tiny pieces for you to glue in place… it’s so detailed, and with such little pieces, it’s really fun to see all the miniatures build a little world as you go. 100% recommend. I can’t wait to make another!

Es wurde als Geschenk gekauft und die Beschenkte (15 Jahre) hat sich sehr darüber gefreut. Mit Ausdauer war es in 2 Tagen fertig gebaut.Kritik gab es nur wegen einer missverständlichen Darstellung in der Anleitung (ansonsten war sie sehr gut dargestellt) und Teile ließen sich nicht unbedingt wie vorgegeben befestigen bzw waren etwas instabil-dies könnte aber auch daran liegen,dass es das erste Projekt dieser Art war.Insgesamt gibt es eine Kaufempfehlung.
