Great alternative to textile gloves

Bought these after seeing them in a friend's kitchen.They have the advantage that they are easier to use than traditional oven mitts - better grip, and easier to move one's hands inside. The silicone keeps out heat very well even when taking out roasting trays which have been in the oven for hours. Also very easy to keep clean.They can be stored on the handle of the oven door, but unfortunately will fall off if you open the oven past 45 degrees to have a look inside.The black ones which I bought look a bit "industrial"

Pros:Simple and effective. Easy to keep clean and no danger of burning your hand.Cons:A little awkward compared to normal oven gloves as you don't have two handed use of them for larger times, but you can always buy a second one.

Much better than cloth gloves

Had these for 2 years now and still as new. Heat insulation very effective. Wash fine in dishwasher. Suggest using 2 for large dishes/trays.
