what area of wood does tthe advertised bottle cover?

I can't be exact but you only need to lay it on quite lightly, no rubbing required. The initial shine is brilliant and then it will sink into the wood thereby preserving it. It's a really good product and I wouldn't think of any other.

How long does it take to dry / absorb?

It doesnt take very long to dry but you need a dry cloth to just buff the wood up when you have used it. Having said that, its REALLY good at what it does and its revived my dining table which I thought I was going to have to get professionally polished!

Can this be used on wood veneer, i want to renovate an old mantle clock

Oil is meant for natural wood as it soaks in i would be more tempted to try bees wax.

Pure oil no solvents.Aliphatic hydrocarbons >30%Perfumes. Contains (R)-p-menthe-1,8-diene. I hope this helps. Test small area before using. I have had no problems with this product where I have used it.
