I have used similar, magneto pulsar, claim it helps with infections & inflammations, device wasn't sturdy, broke down. Does this work same way?

I don't know about infections but it helps inflammation in muscles. I've had mine years, carted about in my handbag, dropped on carpets, car floor and generally goes everywhere with me even abroad. The only time it broke was when I dropped it down a flight of stairs onto a laminate floor!!

What frequency does the machine run on?

The Medicur Pro has three settings 3Hz,7.8Hz and 20Hz

Can it be used with replacement hip

Yes! My right hip was replaced over 25 years ago and my left hip is pinned, wired and fixed due to a congenital pelvic deformity. I have used this medicine magnetic 'zapper' as I call it for years and always have it with me. No chemicals, no difficulty in working through clothes and the battery lasts for ages. Helps with my arthritis, irritable bowel and any other aches my body throws at me!I use it for 20 mins before I get up, 20 mins before I go to sleep and many times through the day especially if my replacement hip is aching (or anything else). Worth every penny. Lynn

Is there any published clinical evidence on its effectiveness? If so can you please cite ?

I don't know, but do know it works for my friend and for me. Yesterday I used it for gut ache, strapped in small of my back. Within the 10 mins timing I was able to defecate.
