Does this xq-ct72 version work on us carrier t-mobile if i insert my t-mobile sim card? or do we need us software configuration to make it work?

It should work on TMobile. There is a HUGE difference between the at&t carrier and the TMobile. The only similarity with them is that they're both GSM carriers. That is where the similarities stop. And, the services rendered for the prices paid are so, beyond night and day that to even compare them at all is providing T-Mobile as a carrier a MAJOR disservice.

Is this actually running on Android 10?

Already Android 12 out of the box when I bought it. Just waiting for the Android 13 update since it started rolling now in some countries.
