Vitamin C Serum for Face 20% with Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin E, 1 fl. oz.

I want to preface this by saying I'm relatively new to skincare. I'm quickly approaching my 30s, and while I've been privileged with great genetics, it's recently dawned on me that genes will only take me so far (basically, she saw a wrinkle in the mirror and panicked). So, after weeks of research, and months of experimenting, a lot of money wasted on products that weren't meant for my skin, I found a skincare regimen that works for me. This product in particular, I had a journey with, that I wanted to share with you all. I purchased my first bottle of this at the end of October, and here I am ready to buy another bottle (spoilers, it works, folks). However, I went through hell to figure out how to get the best benefit from this product! I'm talking irritation, acne, and my new favourite fancy term; post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. I know. Sounds bad. But hear me out, all that crap was MY OWN FAULT, and I am here to tell you what I did wrong so you can get it right. Long story short, I didn't wear sunscreen. And then I wore a sunscreen that just didn't work with this product... Then finally, I found the holy grail combination that solved all my first world problems. See at first, I was only applying this serum at night, and had no problems whatsoever. In fact, my skin was glowing. Then, somewhere along the way, I read that a Vitamin C applied during the day can help improve your skin even more by protecting it from the pollutants you walk through on a day to day basis. Big mistake. After two days of using this serum during daylight hours my skin was BURNING. I had spots there were red, crusty, gross, et cetera. So here I am going "What the hell am I doing wrong? It can't be this product because it worked before." I quickly learned it was because Vitamin C on its own is very unstable. So when exposed to UV light, it reacts violently on the surface of your skin. Like literally burns it! I was under the impression that my skin didn't like SPF from past experiences (I've been hurt before too). So my solution was buying a cheap SPF enhanced moisturizer that had a low SPF (15, for all of you curious on what to avoid). Yeah big mistake. Made my problems a thousand times worse. My skin never looked worse. Not wanting to give up, I decided to take a leap of faith, and got a moisturizer with SPF 40. What lead me to go from 15 to 40 you ask? Well why do we sometimes go from getting a salad at McDonald's on Monday, to getting a whole McDouble on Friday. Sometimes we just know we need more. Best decision I made. I would apply the Vitamin C serum in the morning, then followup with the Olay Total Effects Moisturizer with SPF 40, and within a week I had the best skin I've EVER had. Hope this helps someone who really wants to make this baby work. You have to HAVE to use SPF if you're going to wear this serum during the day. Otherwise, stick to strictly using this during your PM regimen.

This stuff is amazing. I had no idea there was such a product. I'm not actualy sure how i stumbled across it. I was probably looking for some kind of anti-aging cream. Im 41. I have started noticing a crease line in my forhead and laugh lines(whatever their called-do we really need to name them). Plus, i have always had a problem with acne around my chin and jawline. My skin is so much brighter and fresh looking. The uneven tones(redness) are so much lessened that i don't wear foundation anymore. It has been about 3 weeks. My acne scars are lessened, the area around my eyes is tighter (not so tired looking). Any acne that does occur is gone relatively quickly in comparison with before i used this serum. The serum looks more like a solution. I mean it is more liquid than a serum. I could see results the first time i used it but now my skin(after 3 weeks-applying morning and night) is softer, more supple, tighter and in general, an all over improvement. Just keep in mind- this is not a miracle serum. It is not plastic surgery. Your not going to be getting a face lift but it definately brightened and improved my skins texture. My skin is oily. It always looked dehydrated and bla-i didnt honestly know how bad until i started using this vit c serum and now i see what it can look like. Love it. I can't say enough good things about it.

Update: 04/30/15 Changed from 5 stars to 4. Purchased and used up my second bottle and I can't say that I've continued to see you the same results. My skin didn't seem as "bright" as before when I was on the first bottle and I'm no longer noticing any fading of old acne scars, but maybe I'm expecting too much. Anyways, I decided to try a different brand (insta natural) with more vitamins and natural oils for more "anti-aging" benefits. I don't have wrinkles, just wanted to prevent . Big mistake! My skin felt awful with the other product and I began breaking out. With the insta natural brand my makeup caked up and smeared and I looked like a greaseball, even without makeup I looked greasy. My previous review I stated that I thought this brand (Amara Organics) made me break out at first but that it had gotten better. I couldn't give the other brand the chance that I had given this brand because my face felt too oily and itchy. I'm coming back to this product (Amara) since it worked well with my skin type, but I'll probably continue to look for something that might be better. Old review: My skin needed some serious help. I have oily, acne-prone skin and large pores. The hormones from having kids made me look like I had the skin of a teenager again...and the scars it left behind!! I was so embarrassed. I didn't want to spend hundreds on more peels and laser treatments at the spa and I remember a friend raving about vitamin C for skin care. After looking on Amazon for a while, this seemed to be the best rated so I figured I'd give it a try. Honestly, at first I was disappointed. I thought it was making me break out again so I quit using it after only a few uses. I'm not sure what really caused the breakouts but I decided to give this another chance after I had the breakouts under control. I'm so happy I did. I can't say that I saw any immediate results, but after a couple weeks I noticed that my skin looked brighter and my pores appear much smaller. I also notice that my skin feels less oily throughout the day (I used to have to blot my face every few hours and now it's very rare that I have to) and I'm not breaking out at all. I'm noticing that some acne scars are becoming lighter too. I use this under my makeup during the day and at night I use a retinol cream (but I've been using the retinol for a while and have only noticed results after adding this serum). The company sends an email with instructions and does advise that this serum is thinner and a little goes a long way. It also recommends to use it during the day, especially if you use a retinol at night. This is probably one of my best skin care purchases in a long time. I just ordered a second bottle and I'm sure I'll continue to order it as long as they make it.

Great product, great price! I stopped using my expensive department store vitamin c serum b/c this one has more vitamin c! I’m 62 and get to brag that I have never had Botox b/c of this serum! The serum is firming and makes my skin glow. I use it morning and night under my moisturizer with no issues.

I have done some research on Vitamin C serums and as it turns out they're not as effective as I hoped they would be for the price. Apparently the active ingredients in Vitamin C are highly unstable which when in contact with the sunlight or simply too aged, the serums will lose their efficacy rather quickly. Plus the solutions are not as concentrated as in Vitamin C powder or even holistic remedies. I used this particular serum for well over 3 weeks and saw little to no improvement. For that reason, I will not be repurchasing this item. I decided to try a DIY remedy instead and the results honestly deliver. I grated common yellow potatoes and strained the juice from the shavings with a cheese cloth and added fresh squeezed lemon juice to the potato juice. Potatoes and lemon juice contain high amounts of Vitamin C and antioxidants that very quickly reduce dark spots, hyperpigmentation and scarring. I poured the mixture into ice cube trays and froze them for later use. Every morning and every night, I gently rub one ice cube on my face until it melts completely and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes as I go about other things. I then wash off with COLD water and apply a moisturizer (very important)! It took 15 days to see results and I'm so grateful and astonished. My scarring isn't completely gone but most of it has utterly disappeared. I highly recommend you try that rather than spend dozens of dollars on unstable, pricey serums.

Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum for Face is a wonderful product! It also contains vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. (Vitamins C and E need each other - and they are GREAT for your skin!) I have tried to purchase this combination of vitamins in other products in the past; however, the vitamins were always oxidized and I had little faith in their effectiveness under those circumstances. Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum arrived fresh, potent, and definitely not oxidized. I tend to be allergic to everything - but I have no problem using this product. I can see it is making a difference already! My face feels a little bit "tight" after I put it on... not unpleasant, but just there. Just to be sure it was working, I put some on the back of one hand tonight. Within a half hour I could see a dramatic difference even sitting in a darkened room. When I looked at it under a bright light, the skin on the hand with Vitamin C Serum appeared tighter, healthier, and had a lovely radiance to it. I had planned to put my usual hand cream on and see what it did overnight, but I am already excited with these quick results. I am going to give this product a serious try and see if I can turn the clock back a little. I feel the price is fair given the quality of the product - I am so glad it is organic. Sadly, I am on a very strict budget, so I may not always be able to get this product (boo hoo). But I have some for now! I needed some customer service for a minor issue and the customer service is the very BEST. The product arrived within one or two days - although I bought it during the busy holiday season. Thank you for making this excellent organic product! I'm going to see what else you have now! I highly recommend this product.

I'm 52 years old so I'm pretty skeptical about face treatments. I've tried them all. Some work well while others don't. If you are looking for one that will help smooth aged skin, this will work! This product would be for all skin types. I have recently been breaking out on my chin (yes, even at 52!) and I was really worried about the texture of this product. I was relieved when I first used it and found that it literally goes on like a silky liquid and sinks right in. You don't feel anything on your skin. I use it under my sunscreen and oil-free foundation. I've been using it for about 1 month now at I will be honest...the results are not overnight but if you keep faithfully using, you will be very pleased with the product. You have to be patient and keep using it for at least two weeks to see great results. However, if you do use it faithfully everyday, you will definitely see results!! The first time I noticed was when I was at work and went into the restroom. As every gal knows, lighting in the restrooms can be very unflattering. Well, I looked in the mirror as I was washing my hands and thought, "Oh my gosh, my skin is glowing and in this terrible light!" That's when I knew it was the product working because it's the only thing I've done differently with my skin routine in the last 6 months. The area where I've seen the most improvement is the area around the corner of the eyes and down toward the top of the cheek bones. I'm definitely going to repurchase this product and continue to use it everyday.

I've reordered this product from Amazon 3 times but have held off on writing a review because I wasn't sure how much of a difference it was actually making for my skin. I initially bought it because I've read that vitamin C provides skin with a small amount of sun protection, which is good because I have very fair skin and live in a tropical climate where I'm often exposed to the sun. I've also read that vitamin c is useful for evening skin tone, reversing the signs of aging, preventing or repairing UV damage, and has antioxidant qualities. I initially enjoyed using this product because it soaked into the skin quickly and easily, a few drops was enough to cover my entire face, and it left me feeling soft and fresh. I recently went on a short vacation and forgot to pack this serum and almost immediately noticed a difference in my skin. It seemed rougher, drier, and generally less dewy and healthy. Also, I noticed that the fine lines around my eyes were more noticeable as were the darker freckles in that area and I was more apt to developing small blemishes. I've since resumed using this product and I'm pretty convinced that it helps a lot as far as keeping my skin looking less tired when I'm stressed. It seems to give me a healthy glow as well, and my skin feels soft and taut right after I apply it, and it layers well under a moisturizer, sunscreen, and makeup. I'm not sure how it compares to similar products on the market, however I can say that it's become essential in my morning beauty routine. When I use it I feel like I am taking good care of my skin. Additionally, I have very sensitive skin and never experienced any irritation or dryness after using this product. Overall, this one was a win.

I DID NOT RECEIVE A DISCOUNT FOR THIS REVIEW. THIS IS TOTALLY UNBIASED. Frankly, this is an amazing product. I never knew I could find something this good for this price. My skin has always been rather oily, acne prone, blotchy/uneven toned and with enlarged pores. After 3 weeks, my skin is brighter/lighter and more even toned, softer and well moisturised, with less wrinkles and tighter pores. If you've just started, please stay the course. This stuff actually does what it says it will! I've been using it in conjunction with the Vitamin C Face & Body Lotion of the same range (equally a 5-star product) and I feel like a traveller who's finally home! A super well done to Amara. I hope you never change this formula.

Habe das Serum vor einigen Wochen bestellt und kann jetzt endlich meine Bewertung abgeben! Ich bin begeistert, das Serum wirkt gegen Fältchen, macht die Haut wunderbar feinporig und nach längerer Anwendung erscheint mein Hautbild insgesamt frischer, feiner und auch aufgehellt! Jetzt nach meinem 2 wöchigen Sommerurlaub ohne mein geliebtes Vitamin C Serum hatte ich an zwei Stellen im Gesicht grössere bräunliche Pigmentflecken, wieder zu Hause, habe ich mein geliebtes Serum sofort wieder angewendet (2 Tropfen mit der Pipette reicht für das ganze Gesicht) und siehe da, die Pigmentverfärbungen waren nach 3 Tagen fast wieder verschwunden, perfekt! Ich bin mit dem Kauf des Serums sehr zufrieden, habe mich deshalb auch für dieses entschieden, weil es wirklich nur natürliche Inhaltsstoffe ohne Which Hazel und sonstiger künstlicher Zusatzstoffe enthält. Es brennt bei der Anwendung nicht und meine Haut fühlt sich jedesmal sehr erfrischt danach an, das Serum zieht rasch ein! Ich wende das Serum hauptsächlich morgens an, erst dieses Vitamin C Serum, dann ein anderes Serum, dann Sonnenschutzcreme LSF30 und der Tag kann beginnen! Wenn ich mein Gesicht einmal die Woche abends mit einem Dermaroller bearbeite, verwende ich das Vitamin C anschließend sehr gerne, weil die Haut es dann so schön aufnimmt nach dem Needling. Die Reihenfolge bei mir abends: erst Needling mit dem Dermaroller, dann Vitamin C, dann ein anderes feuchtigkeitsspendendes Serum und anschließend eine Feuchtigkeitscreme oder abwechselnd das Gesichtsöl von Pai Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil, das alle Fältchen, falls noch vorhanden, glattbügelt :-) Ich bin vom Serum sehr überzeugt und kann es weiterempfehlen, ich werde es mit Sicherheit wieder nachbestellen!

E' un siero molto liquido non è oleoso. Forse può andare meglio per il periodo estivo. Io l'ho ordinato in inverno e non nutre molto la pelle ma con una buona crema sopra va bene.

Una de las cosas que más me preocupaban es que fuese una imitación o algo así, tengo que decir que es original, con su caja, su precinto y todo bien empaquetado. El producto es de gran calidad. La primera vez que te lo echas notas más luminosidad y con los días ves que la cara está más hidratada, más tersa, con mejor aspecto...no se como explicarlo pero se nota diferencia en la calidad de la piel desde que me lo echo. Cuando se me acabe pienso volver a comprar otro.
