How does the sizing compare to Carter's sizing?

Just tried the 12-18 month size on my son who is a large 13 month (80%) and it is really big I’m going to have to roll the legs and sleeves but it will work

We used it all winter with our new addition (born Sept 2018) luckily thin enough that it wasn't bulky in the car seat allowing the straps to be snug enough to satisfy us as new parents and keeping our daughter nice and warm.
