Menu Selection Decanting Pourer

This item is nearly identical to the Menu Premium Decanting Pourer, which I reviewed on November 12, 1202. The top of this item, however, is clear, while the top of the Premium Pourer is a silver/gray color, Other than that, the two products appear to be identical in appearance, design, function and -- most importantly -- performance. Using this product improves the flavor of any wine -- red or white; dry or fruity; expensive or cheap -- though you will notice the most significant improvement with the drier red wines. The Menu Selection Decanting Pourer, however, is less than half the price of the Menu Premium Decanting Pourer and seems to be equally effective.I should probably add that, when my wife and I spent a week last fall in California's Napa and Sonoma valleys, I noticed that practically every winery/tasting room used these particular decanting pourers. I figured, if the wineries were using them for tasting, they must be good. I bought one and was very pleased. Often, when we have guests, we may have more than one red wine open at the same time, so I decided to get a second one. Sometimes, we have "mini" wine tastings, where we compare, for example, four Pinot Noirs, etc. I think I may have to get a few more of these.

I just got my Menu Selection Decanting Pourer $15, same product sells at Beverages and More for $25 (thank you Amazon for the savings!). I will use it for traveling to restaurants as its too much of a hassle to bring my large Vinturi aerator, the Menu is just more compact, this will do the job.There is a cheapter one on line "Aerating Decanting Spout for Wine Bottles" for $4.85 but this one seems to be from the "defect" pile, the rubber isn't on as tight.

I have two. One for white wine and one for red. I like them better than my Vinturi aerator because they cost less. They are easier to use - you just stick them in the bottle and pour. They aerate almost as well as the Vinturi, and they only have one air hole that points upward when you pour so they don't leak the same way as my Vinturi can.

I have really enjoyed this product for a few reasons:1. it's small enough to fit in your pocket2. it is pretty easy to clean3. the aeration actually makes a difference in the flavor (at least for me and my friends)4. it makes pouring easy and clean!There may be better, more professional ones out on the market, but for the money, I think this is a GREAT value!

I thought that this might drip but it fits snugly in the wine bottle and all in all is wonderful. I had some people over for a dinner party who said that this was much better than the one that they have that they have to hold separately and then carefully carry back over to the sink to catch the drips. No complaints at all and it was cheap!

This is supposed to aerate the wine. I didn't expect amazing things, given this is so small. But I couldn't tell if it actually did anything.

Other aerators have to be set up over the glass or a large carafe. This one just plugs into the wine bottle and away you go.

This does a good job of aerating the wine. I taste tested red wine before and after aerating, and it definitely made a difference.

Günstiger und sehr wirksamer Weinbelüfter/Dekanter mit Vinturieffekt. Der Wein schmeckt sofort deutlich weicher, wie nach eine Stunde Atmung und - da ich meistens den Wein allein geniesse, sofort trinkbar in der Menge, wie es mir/einem beliebt ist, ohne sich auf die Menge in Dekanter festlegen zumüssen.Man muss die Flasche sehr steil halten und es spritzt etwas auch gegen Glaswände, aber durch schwenken gleicht sich das wieder. Wenn man Gäste hat und verschiedene Rotwein serviert, ist es angebracht lieber 2en Dekanter einzusetzen, den man einfach in der Flasche stecken lässt.Leicht zu reinigen, gehört aber nicht in die Spülmaschiene, sondern ist vom Hand spülenDurch viele positiven Bewertungen habe ich übersehen, dass die Wahre aus Hongkong kommt; war dann eine große Überraschung wo ich die Nachricht in WhatsApp von Unbekannt, mit Vorwahl +46!? bekommen habe, mit Vornamen angesprochen wurde, dass ich bei Amazon Verkäufer Tugzer was bestellt habe und - da sie nicht an die Packstation liefern - um eine alternative Adresse gebeten wurde (die 2 Mails, die Verkäufer mir geschickt hat, habe ich schlechthin übersehen!) War dann sehr nettes hin-und-her Texten. Ein Hoch an den Verkäufer!

Wenn man das Original (direkt von Amazon) bestellt und keinen Nachbau (von einigen Marketplace-Anbietern hier), erhält man ein tolles Produkt. Meines erfüllt seit 5 Jahren hervorragend seinen Dienst und ist immer noch tadellos in Ordnung. Weinkenner schmecken den Unterschied, ob der Wein direkt aus der Flasche kommt oder diesen Ausgießer passiert hat. Der Wein wird damit sanfter, weicher und runder im Geschmack. Das Ausgießen gelingt tropffrei.

Das Geld kann man sich beruhigt sparen, das Teil ist nahezu funktionslos. Einzig das Ausgießen geht ohne Tropfen.Geschmacksverbesserung durch "Durchlüftung", Fehlanzeige. Der Wein läuft so langsam durch den Decanter,der bekommt beim normalen Ausgießen mehr Sauerstoff mit. Deshalb auch keine Geschmacksverbesserung.

ich war sehr skeptisch, aber dann habe ich einfach den Test gemacht, zwei Gläser mit dem identischen Wein, einmal mit und einmal ohne Dekantierungsausgießer.Erst nahm ich einen Schluck von dem Wein ohne Dekanter, war ganz ok.Dann nahm ich einen Schuck von dem Wein mit Dekanter und er war richtig lecker, schön leicht und sehr bekömmlich.Dann nahm ich zum Vergleich noch mal einen Schluck von dem ohne, diesesn habe ich dann ausgespuckt, im Vergleich war der extrem bäh!Seitdem steckt der Dekantierungsausgießer immer auf unserer Rotweinflasche, wir nehmen ihn sogar mit in den Urlaub.

Ich habe diesen und noch sechs andere Ausgießer ausgiebig ausprobiert und halte diesen Ausgießer von den Getesteten für den Besten. Der Rotwein schmeckt schon nach dem Eingießen intensiver und deutlich besser, als wenn man ihn ohne diesen Ausgießer einschenkt. Damit viel Luft an den Wein kommt, kippe ich die Flasche beim Einschenken relativ stark; das sieht zwar nicht unbedingt "fein" aus, aber der Geschmack des Weines ist entsprechend gut, und das zählt für mich in erster Linie; und für meine Gäste auch :-)
