How Long does it last?

I received my 50 pound box in the beginning of December of 2015, and I just now have gone half way through it in September of 2016. This is with two guineas. It has kept pretty well and saved me tons of money in the long run. I have kept it in the box it came in--the hay is still in good condition.

What is the shelf life of this product? There is no expiration date, harvest date, lot # or other traceable identification on box.

I order all the time. Not sure about exact shelf life but I have 3 bunnies and I order the 20lb box and it lasts me a month and stays fresh. Hope that helps

What is the best way to store this to keep it fresh? I would think would dry out in the box.

It’s recommended with all hay to leave in box. If wrapped in plastic, put in box. It will dry out but won’t mold. Buy smaller boxes and more frequently for freshest hay.
