Acupuncture in Latin means sticking with the needle. Each of the 409 important acupuncture points is presented with an anatomical graphic, an overview of the meridian and a photo showing the needle placement. The combination of Chinese sources and the authors therapeutic experiences provides a sensible balance between the most important indications and practical needs. The names, properties, and applications of the individual acupuncture points have been revised on this basis. Far-Eastern healing methods and Western observation techniques create a bridge between Asian and Western views of acupuncture. This acupuncture atlas not only provides beginners with an overview of the most important acupuncture points, but experienced practitioners can also learn about seldom used acupuncture points and thus extend their knowledge. Review: Excellent resource with clear photos and diagrams. - This is a great book to get for learning the location of the acupuncture points. I included a photo so you can see the actual layout. The photo is slightly out of focus, but the printing in the book is not! It is superb. The way it is organised, with a diagram, then one photo showing points relative to other points and then another with just a needle…all great visuals. If it is ever revised to include the Chinese characters, that would be a plus. Definitely 5 stars. Review: Excellently presented. - As an acupuncture student, still trying to wrap my head around point location, this book is invaluable. There is, in truth, no perfect text out there for finding points - as point location is not an exact science - but this text provides a convenient, simple, and extremely effective aid to those of us still at the level of knowing which point to use, but still not 100% confident about where to actually put the needle. It also provides clear and concise details of each point including point indications, functions, natures (Shu, Mu, Luo etc.)... which is always useful to be able to double check at a glance. If you're an acupuncture student, then in my opinion this should be part of your ever expanding library. All in all, highly recommended.

Very clear point locations on real people
Clear and concise in its explanation of the point locations. Locations are shown on photos of real people instead of drawings, which makes it easier to relate to the actual body.

Great Acupunture points book.
Brilliant book for any Acupuncture student. Clearly labelled points with 3 diagrams per point - anatomical diagram, point on a person, finally point when needled. Quite useful, if you're figuring out where the point should be. The description can be slightly different depending on whch school of thought you belong to however the uses cover the whole spectrum. Worth the money, its now my points bible!

Extremely good book with great pictures and explanations
Extremely good book with great pictures and explanations. It gives good background information and gives three different images for each acupuncture point. Some knowledge is assumed (e.g. understanding of anatomy), so it's not suitable for complete beginners.
