The white molded wood seat has a smooth high gloss surface. The chromed hinges are soft closing and allow the seat to be lifted off the bowl easily to aid with cleaning. Fits most European sized toilets. Assembly was a little awkward because of the spring mechanism, annoyingly after less than 12 months of use the bracket stem holding the unit to the pan has snapped, could be just a one off but given the price it is still disappointing. Very good quality
This is very good quality product just a bit fiddly to install . Read the instructions first as you need to dismantle part of the fitting to connect to the pan.
