This guard is EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY, outer material is a very sturdy yet soft rubber type material, inside molding material is amazingly strong and provides great support and protection even when clinching down rather hard. Getting initial molding done is very simple and the outer molding brackets almost makes it fool proof. The fit and finish of final product is professional level. Highly recommend for anybody participating in a combat sport or any other sport needing teeth and gum protection. Nice storage case provided.

Very easy to follow instructional videos! And the fit was perfect! It felt as custom fitted as it can get without the actual custom fitting process and price. I’ve tried many other brands through out the years, even some more expensive than this one and those still couldn’t compare. What I love the most is the compact feel of it. It is very minimal in thickness yet protects better than any of the self molding mouthguards. When your mouth is closed you barely notice you have the mouthguard in. You can speak almost as normal as if you weren’t wearing it. I ordered 2 as always just incase I made mistake but both came out perfect. One thing I highly recommend doing so that it fits even more snug around your teeth, is swishing around very cold water in your mouth before taking the mouthguard out after the 1 minute of molding while it’s hot. While your swishing around cold water in your mouth keep biting down on the mouthguard. Do it 3 or 4 times with in a minute. Essentially what that does is that the cold water will constrict and tighten the mouthguard around your teeth because of the changing temperature from hot to very cold. Many put the mouthguard in cold water when taking it out after the 1 minute hot molding process which is what has always been done since forever. But you have to remember the cold water constricts and tightens it ever so slightly. So when done outside of your mouth it might even tighten and shrink a little too much to the point where there forms a small gap between the floor of the mouthguard and your teeth. Overall the best mouthguard I’ve tried in sparring. Getting hit with it on let me feel how cushioned and protected my teeth were on impact.

I bought the OPRO Instant Custom-Fit Mouth Guard specifically for MMA and boxing because I wanted something that felt more protective than the cheap “one size” guards, but still easy to fit at home. After a couple sessions, I’m happy with it overall it locks in well, feels sturdy, and I don’t have to constantly readjust it. Fit (the most important part) The boil-and-bite process is straightforward, but you really do need to follow the timing and bite down evenly. My first mold was wearable but not perfect. I re-did it and got a much better fit snug around my teeth without digging into my gums. Once molded correctly, it stays in place during pad work and light sparring, even when I’m breathing hard. Comfort + breathing For boxing/MMA, comfort matters because you’re wearing it while moving and getting hit. This one feels secure without being painfully tight. It’s not a super thin guard, but it’s also not a brick in your mouth. I can breathe fine through it, and while talking is limited (normal), I can still get quick words out between rounds. Protection / build quality It feels more structured than the super cheap guards. When you clench, it has that “solid” feel like it’s actually cushioning impact. I’ve taken a few clean shots while wearing it and it did its job—no jaw soreness, no shifting. Cleaning / storage I rinse it immediately after training and let it fully dry before putting it back in the case. As long as you don’t store it wet, it stays fresh and doesn’t get that nasty mouthguard smell fast. Pros • Stays put once molded correctly • Feels durable and protective for boxing/MMA • Comfortable enough to wear full rounds • Better fit than generic guards Cons / things to know • Molding takes a little practice (my second try was noticeably better) • Slightly bulky until you get used to it • Don’t rush the fit - fit = comfort + breathing Overall: If you train MMA or boxing and want a guard that feels secure and protective without going full custom dentist guard, this is a strong option. I’m giving it 4 stars only because the fit process can take a retry but once it’s molded right, it’s exactly what I needed.

I like it a lot. Nice and snug. Not too bulky. Directions are easy. I HATE wearing mouth guards but this one is the most bearable one I’ve tried.

This is hands down the worst designed "custom-fit" mouth guard. The molding instructions are clear, however if you follow them and use the compression cage the mouth guard will fold over on itself during the molding process and immediately ruin your mouth guard. You are better off going to Dick's and buying a boil and bite mouth guard for little league football. I've never given a review like this if that says anything.

Excellent mouth guards for boxing or grappling Easy to mold

I’ve been training in martial arts for 23 years and have been teaching for 15 years so honest opinion of the OPRO Mouth Piece. This has great cushioning to protect the jaw and teeth on impact from medium to hard contact to jaw and chin. If you’re looking for more cushion protection and impact absorbing mouth guard this is a good fit. My own experience of training comes from Boxing, American Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Taekwondo, Krav Maga and various forms of Fire Arms training (Shooting to Pressure Testing scenarios with Simunation Rounds). So, the impact to jaw or chin can vary for each of those systems based on what the drill or session is. For me personally I also like when the mouth guard can clip onto my upper teeth such as a custom dentist mouth guard or Shock Doctor Trash Talker. That being said I use different mouth pieces depending on what I am doing. When training students I typically use the Shock Doctor Trash Talker Mouth Piece since it has slimmer profile, clips right on to my upper teeth and I can speak clearly to my students without it falling out, or when grappling in class or in a firearms hand to hand combatives course. Since I’m not so worried that students will land any shots on my head area due to level of ability compared to mine or don’t have to worry about it falling out while rolling with another guy retaining my training firearm or attempting to take the other guy’s training firearm. However, when competing or training with competitors/Instructors at my level in a striking discipline such as Muay Thai, Kickboxing or MMA, I use my dentist mouth guard or when traveling I’ll be using this OPRO mouth guard as a back up. Since it offers more cushion protection from head strikes that can happen when training or competing with others at my level of ability. Overall not mind blown from this mouth guard but not dissatisfied from it. Will give it a few sparring and grappling rounds to see how it holds up and keeps up with what I do. If anything it’s going to be a back up mouth guard. Since I always recommend to students and professionals to have 2-3 mouth guards when traveling or training at your home academy. And depending on the amount of use you put them through, change them out every 6-12 months or so.

This was the worst mouth guard I have ever come across. Unfortunately it will have to be binned and I will need to get a different brand. Would not recommend
