A miracle product
My dog has an autoimmune disorder that causes issues with bleeding. We got this because we were having trouble getting a cut on her paw to heal. This is the only thing that has worked, even better then what we were given at the vet. Highly recommend!

Good for humans too
Tuf foot is a great product in my opinion. I've been through several bottles of this during training. My method for application is simple and effective. Buy a empty spray bottle and a bottle of isopropyl alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol). I fill the spray bottle with a 5/1 ratio mix of Tuf foot and alcohol. The addition of the alcohol is simply to dilute the Tuf foot mixture to make it last a little longer. The spray bottle method is MUCH better than using cotton swabs, spilling it on your foot, or any other method. The benefits are; you get better coverage with less product, you don't get it on your hands, it's faster, and it gets in-between the toes easier. I suggest using it twice a day, for the first week to two weeks (depending on how tough your feet are already). Once a day is good after that. I apply before bed, and after my post morning workout shower. If you use it twice a day there might be a slight change in skin tone. It's not ugly or permanent. Tuf foot will NOT toughen your feet to leather, only hard miles in your shoes/boots will do that, but it sure helps. Word of caution: This stuff smells! Do not apply in your house (even in the bathtub) Go outside, sit down with your feet in the air, spray it on, and let it dry. Good luck. FYI: There are different bottle labels for Tuf-foot, as long as it's by the same company the label doesn't matter, you may use it on humans.

So helpful, but a little messy.
My dog has a terrible time with dry and cracked paws. He only has three feet, so he can't limp to keep off one if it's hurting. It took us a while to find out about them, but once we did, research proved this to be the best product. It has done wonders for his paws! They stay nice and hydrated year-round with regular use of this product. Unfortunately, I did have some issues with it. It was very difficult and messy to apply. While it does dry quickly, there was no good way to apply it without making a mess. It also stains if it happens to spill. At First I just tried dripping it on, but it was inaccurate and didn't cover some of the problem areas on the paws. Next I used a cotton swab, but it absorbed it too much and the cotton would get torn on the dry bits of his paw pad. Finally i used a small bit of sponge. This finally worked, but i had to keep it with the product and off any surfaces (staining). It was a wonderful product, but the stench filled up the area where i kept the sponge. I would reccomend it to any animal owner with the same problems, but with caution.

Great for working dogs โ consistency matters
I use this on my three hunting dogs, and itโs worked really well. It does a great job healing damaged paw pads and seems to reduce the number of injuries I see over the course of the season. The key is being consistent with application โ when used regularly, the results are noticeable. Another small plus is the smell: itโs actually pleasantly sweet, though kind of hard to describe, and not overpowering at all. Overall, this has become a staple in my dog-care kit, especially for active or working dogs. Iโd definitely recommend it.

It works!
We backpack sometimes upwards of 15 miles with our Bully, his feet always have tears or cracks even with the use of booties/balms both of which he doesnt really enjoy. Some of my friends who have working cattle/hunting dogs recommended this to me, within a week I noticed his feet are definitely harder and have more traction, two scrapes he had plus some redness have also healed faster than usual; I've only been applying once a day as people have told me it can actually make the pads to brittle and crack if over used. The smell isn't the worst, it smells mostly like Rubbing Alcohol to me with an after smell of herbs; my dog doesn't mind the spray, I see some people had issues with it but mine sprayed fine and did not stain. I wouldn't recommend allowing your dog to lick this however as it does contain Acetone, my dog didn't even try to (I think the smell put him off ๐ ) It dries within 10 seconds, I have my dog flip on his back like for belly rubs and spray his feet that way. I've also been spraying a little on his elbows where there's pressure marks from laying down and it seems to help harden that area too. Overall will be buying again to keep in my stock of dog stuff.

Bottle is Poorly Designed, But it Works
First off I need to say that this product has worked on my dogs pads. He had ripped huge chunk out of each of his back pads and once they were healed (but still soft) I used this to help toughen the soft spots. Now for the cons. The very first instruction said to shake well. So, I took the seal off, replaced the lid and started to shake the bottle. Next thing I know I have this yellow smelly liquid all over me, the floor, and the counters. I swear that shaking the bottle wasted half of the product! I triple checked the lid and it was on as tight as possible. Then, when I turned the bottle on its side, I had leakage again. So, I grabbed a spray bottle and emptied the entire contents into it. (The spray bottle makes it very easy to apply to my dogs paws.) I'm just annoyed that it is packaged so poorly. And the smell is pretty bad, especially if you spray it!

TOTALLY HELPED MY DOGS PAWS
My dogs paws were always red/score and she licked them constantly (she is on sharp grave a lot lately so thinking this was the cause & hoping not allergies) . A friend that has hunting dogs recommended this product. I've tried EVERYTHING so what the heck (no one locally carried it so had to order online). I've only used this product for about 4 days; but already seeing awesome results!! No more paw licking & she is not sore walking on the gravel anymore and I had to actually put boots on her before (but not anymore!) I also will use it on my horse's hooves -has a bit of a medicine smell to it as it kills any infections/fungus. Highly recommend
