I use this a teaspoon full together with a teaspoon rice mizo paste in soups amd get the ideal taste combination. It gives a citrus/vinegar taste but as it is salty it should be used only a little. It is a very good quality product and organic.

I bought this because I have been suffering from severe acid reflux and my vocal chord is burnt as the result. I heard umeboshi has strong alkaline hence It’s good to relieve stomach problem. I am addicted to pickled plum, I usually have the dried version whether it’s made in Japan or Taiwan.. I love the salty and sour taste. I haven’t actually tried any umeboshi since long time ago so I can’t remember how salty it should be. This is definitely salty but I reckon if there’s no addictive or citric acid added to the plum, it definitely needs high salt content to preserve it. I am eating this on it’s own. It’s really sour so be warned it’s not gonna work for average person’s taste bud. I have a very strong stomach for sourness and am able to eat lime or lemon on its own without dilution; so if you can’t do that, don’t eat this paste on its own! Maybe I will see if I can make a drink with it!

Forgot how good this stuff was. Excellent umami and sour flavours for when lemon doesn't cut it. You can add to rice and steamed veg for a punch, I also like to mix a touch with mayo on my veggie burgers.

Ho già provato prodotti della stessa marca e sono di ottima qualità. La pasta di prugne marinate giapponesi non mi ha delusa. La uso per fare onighiri o sushi-rolls, ma anche per fare salse o condire insalate. E' molto forte come sapore, e buona come quella che ho assaggiato al ristorante giapponese. Il prezzo non è economico ma questo prodotto è quasi introvabile e si conserva a lungo, quindi tutto sommato è onesto. Consegna rapida e puntuale.

Le genre de produit typiquement très particulier qui ne fait pas dans la demi-mesure. Soit on aime, soit on déteste. II faut vraiment tester soi-même pour se faire son propre avis. J'adore personnellement et en suis à mon second pot. Vendeur sérieux, livraison rapide et soignée. Que du bon!

I've been using the Eden brand umeboshi paste, mainly on corn on the cob, for years, but never liked their flat plastic packaging. So when I saw the same product in a glass jar I ordered it. The taste seems the same, and I prefer it in a glass container. Only neg is that it ships all the way from the UK, but shipping was still fast.
