I’m 16 stone, would this chair be uncomfortable on the knees and seat (for heavy people) if used for more than 3 of 4 hours at a time?

You should be fine. The way the chair works is with you own weight, you won’t feel any pressure on your legs/knees. And with your back it is all about posture and core. However it is recommended to use this chair and a normal office chair alternately don’t use the kneeling chair all the time. Hope this helps.

I can't see why not. I'm a good bit heavier than you and 5'6" and I LOVE MINE. I do find having the handles a comfort

Yes. The wheeled base moves really easily, and the seat/knee rest are also on a swivel which moves 360.

This is a heavy duty chair, but I am much heavier and the chair is starting to be creaky....I’m still using it without any problems though. So weight wise I think you’re fine :)
