What is the guarantee on this product?

I don't know I sent mine back it was too heavy to use and the steam was not very good,

Is it safe for laminate floors?

It depends on the construction and glue of the laminate. Ask the manufactures.

I rang Polti who make this steam cleaner, they said I musnt use any other liquid in it as it invalidates warranty! £17 a bottle for the deodoriser!

I personally just use distilled water. It steams well and I only use this on hard floors. The cloths I use on the machine I change regularly and hot wash these in the washing machine. Always get a nice fresh smell. Hope this helps you.
