Auraglow Motion Sensor Security Light, Wireless Battery Powered PIR, Black

I am a total geek when it comes to home automation, so my first thought to light up a dark pantry closet was to use a LED smart bulb, or a powered lamp and smart plug, coupled with a motion sensor, light sensor and door contact sensor. However that is prohibitively expensive for a closet used once or twice a day and I would need to run power into the closet for either. Then I remembered the outdoor solar powered LED security lights I had installed at my last home and thought there must be a simpler, cheaper solution. This battery powered LED light has integrated motion and light sensors, costs far less, and is much simpler to install than running power and writing custom automations. The light turns on when entering the dark closet and off 20 seconds after leaving. Installation was as simple as drilling 3 tiny holes to mount it on the wall (or use the included double sided adhesive). The light is bright enough and the batteries are lasting well as we typically only use the closet once or twice a day. I like that the light can easily be positioned and that it is removable if I needed it in the deeper corners of the closet. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it or purchase again.

The Auraglow Battery Operated Motion Sensor Light is fantastic, it is really easy to put up and with it being battery operated you can install it anywhere and the battery life seems good. No having to run wires and no big solar panel just a small light with plenty of light. It is light enough to put anywhere and is a bargain for the price. I can now see my key hole at night.

I did only put this light up today but I thought I'd give first impressions then i'll update if anything happens with use! This light is certainly what we needed but at the same time I have a couple of gripes. First, basics, the light has 3 bright LEDs that cast a pretty decent beam, you can set it to be on, off, or auto. I suspected most people will use auto, which means if you come within 4 meters of it it will light up, but only if it's dark, it senses whether it's dark enough to be needed and that is a pretty cool feature. This isn't the kind of light you'd get from one of those big black ones that are like a mini-floodlight, but it's decent and much, much better for our off-road house which NO ONE can see because there's hardly any street lights even when you are on the road. I probably should've realized I'd need it to come on without getting so close though, as unless you were walking up to the front door anyway it wouldn't come on - but that is my fault and I'm happy enough to deal with this for now. My real niggle is the screws used to fix the base of the light in place, they're tiny. Less than a centimetre long, and I didn't trust that they'd be long enough to support the light in a brick wall (no where else to fit this, there's no wood or smooth surfaces outside our place) so i used both the sticky adhesive pad and longer screws with wall plugs - which this doesn't come with, but that's probably cos they don't make them that small. It might not have been an issue at all but I didn't want this falling off and smacking on the ground only to break, I think supplying decent screws isn't a big ask. I usually give 5 stars whenever I can but with the screws, how small the distance for activation is, and how it needs to be very dark to activate means I can only honestly give it 4. But that's not a total knock, I am pretty happy with this

Brilliant security lights, nice bright, a good rotating, light, so you can direct them, any way you need ,once secured, the seem good quality, not sure sbout battery life ,only had a couple weeks, but a lot better than solar lights, winter mths ,good value

This is a great light. I’ve got it above some steps at the top of the drive where it’s really dark. It gives more than adequate light over quite a large area. I had no trouble fitting it and adjusting the direction of the light, and the sensor works well. It stays on for me, for the optimum amount of time; not too long or too short. It is compact and smart looking. Longevity? - time will tell!

Was really happy with the item itself as it worked great for 2 years. However the motion sensor has now stopped working and the product support window closed one month ago so it's completely useless now. If you're good with that lifespan for the price, it's still a good pickup but I'll have to look elsewhere I guess.

Fantastic, works really well under the porch by the front door, I’ve had it a while now and it’s bright and the battery lasts very long. I haven’t changed them yet so for me that’s a plus .

This light is lovely. It sits well in the cradle and is really bright and the motion detection is great. The only issue I have is with the sticky pads. They are not strong enough to hold up the light, so it’s I would advise using the screw provided.

Ich hatte zuerst nur 2 bestellt, etwas skeptisch, um zu testen. Danach mehrere bestellt. Der Bewegungssensor arbeitet gut in großem Winkel. Solange der Raum sowieso hell ist, reagiert der Sensor nicht. Gut so! Wenn man z.B. einen Raum betritt und vorher ein Licht einschaltet reagiert er auch nicht, also bei ausreichend Helligkeit bleibt die Lampe aus, erst bei Dunkelheit reagiert diese und zwar auch solange Bewegung im Raum ist, schaltet also nicht nach 20 Sekunden einfach aus. Beispiel Bad: Man geht ins Bad, Lampe an. Solange man sich bewegt, also Hände wäscht, Zähne putzt, bleibt Licht. Geht man ins WC und sitzt still, geht die Lampe nach 20 Sekunden aus, aber bei der kleinsten Bewegung auch gleich an; gut so. Die Helligkeit ist recht gut und völlig ausreichend. Wenn die Batterie zu neige geht, schwächt sich das Licht langsam, daran erkennt man das der Batterie wechsel ansteht...Ich verwende wiederaufladbare Batterien, funktioniert sehr gut....Es werden 3 Stück benötigt; diese halten je nach dem wie oft die Lampe leuchtet natürlich unterschiedlich lange...Beispiel bei mir: Licht im WC ca 8 Wochen, im Bad ca 6 Wochen, Küche ca 4 Wochen, Gang ca 4 Wochen. Da sind die Lampen aber auch bei 3 Personen Haushalt täglich zig mal gefordert (deswegen auch Akkus). In einem Keller oder anderen selten benutzten Räumen hält so ne Batterie sicher Monate ( solange hab ich sie noch nicht ). Man kann die Lampen einfach stellen ( im Bad einfach auf den Alibert gestellt ), und durch das Kugelgelenk kann man die Lampe ausreichend gut anpassen. Es ist auch Motage-Material vollständig dabei so das man die Lampe entweder mit Schrauben und Dübel montieren kann, oder ein 3M-Pad um die Lampe zu kleben ( würde jetzt nicht einer Deckenmonatage anvertrauen, aber an ein Möbelstück düfte halten... ). Die Lampe ist einfachst dann aus dem Gelenk rausnehmbar (Batteriewechsel). Alles in allem - vor allem für den Preis, das muss man auch sehen - ein prima Produkt! Wo man das selbst für nötig sieht oder nicht ist ja jedem selbst überlassen; ich finde es praktisch weil ich fensterlose Räume wie Bad/WC/Flur habe wo ansonsten jedesmal die "Festbeleuchtung" stattfindet und zum Händewaschen oder Wasserlasen (WC) finde ich`s praktisch. In der Küche praktisch wenn man nachts mal schnell in die Küche geht ( trinken ) und sich im Halbschlaf nicht Festbeleuchtung machen muss und auch nicht vergisst Licht auszumachen ( wir haben einen Halbwüchsigen, der vergisst regelmäsig Lichter auszuschalten ).... Da wir einen längeren Gang haben , habe ich hier 2 Lampen montiert und so eingestellt das nicht beide sofort leuchten sondern nacheinander bei Bedarf; dito Küche. Wie gesagt, die Helligkeit einer einzelnen Lampe ist wirklich unerwartet gut, zwar kein Halogenstrahler, aber doch ausreichend hell und nicht duster oder zu dunkel...

Perfect. Genoeg licht ..

Luce semplicemente sopra le mie aspettative. L ha utilizzo per illuminare una porta d ingresso (sprovvista di impianto elettrico), serve solo per vedere quando si pianta la chiave nella serratura, beh ke dire io sono soddisfatto, il sensore la accende al passaggio e poi resta accesa una 30 di sec , xcó tutto il tempo necessario.... Luce non fortissima ma direi buona luminosità , va a pile e non so dire la durata x ora un mese e mezzo e tutto funziona come il primo giorno. L installazione può essere fatta con nastro biadesivo o con 3 vitine (tutto già incluso) io L ho attaccata con entrambi tanto montata sul telaio della porta in legno! 10 min di lavoro al massimo. X il prezzo pagato e il funzionamento direi ke la consiglio a ki ha bisogno di illuminare porte d ingresso o piccoli punti luci ( non è un faro) luce non fortissima ma fa egregiamente il suo lavoro! Consegna ok e servizio Amazon sempre preciso!

Cette lampe éclaire vraiment très bien. Elle mesure environ 10 cm de diamètre et je suis bluffé par la puissance de l'éclairage. Je l'utilise pour éclairer ma porte d'entrée et le détecteur fonctionne à merveille. Elle contient 3 piles AA et est très facile à mettre place. Je suis donc super satisfaite de cette lampe et la recommande sans hésitation.
