20ft Extendable Flag Windsock Pole Heavy Duty Tip

Hmm. It's been an ok item. Worked as it should, until yesterday. I put it up, to fly my flags in the back garden - and it snapped in the wind. Bit disappointed. Do I order another....?

The first thing was that I found the photo for this item confusing! The photo shows 6 telescopic flags side by side, but one is simply a single tube with all the other sections inside it. On getting it, I took the wrong end off it, and all the sections fell out onto the floor! BUT, when you open up the right end, then it opens up to a great 6m long flag pole which is nice and sturdy. The loop at the top apparently is only for a light wind streamer, but if you are going to put a flag onto the pole then you will need some method of attaching it - pole bungees is what I went for.

Bought this to take to Kendal calling so we could spot the tent easily. It came in a plastic bag to protect it, it is small and lightweight. We found it easy to carry and easy to set up. We put the flags on the second from top section as suggested and never once worried. We had terrible weather and the flags stood tall and proud all weekend. Would recommend to any festival goer.

I bought this flag pole based on previous reviews and I’m not disappointed. Took it to Latitude festival to aid finding my tent amongst a sea of tents and for this it was perfect, my neighbours were very grateful too. Easy to transport, erect and stayed up for the whole weekend, who needs blue pills? I did order recommended ground spike and bungees which didn’t arrive in time so I attached my flag using 2 cable ties and used a wooden pole from a beach windbreak to mount it. All worked perfectly. If there had been a better option suggested as a ground spike it would have earned 5*

This is rubbish product. Save yourself the money and the heartache. It'll never fly a flag in anything but very moderate breezes (so that rules out 95% of days in Scotland!). Not that I'd know, coz I never got to the stage where the pole was fully extended. The extending of the pole is 'tricky' (alternate extending & twisting). The pole cracked in my hand as I extended it past 4 meters. Not it is stuck (half-up/half-down). Taking up much space and just reminding me what a waste of my money this has been. The 'eye' at the end of the pole is too small to ever accommodate any bungee/flag attachment (so don't waste your money on those either!). All in all, a VERY DISAPPOINTING product - and definitely ONE TO AVOID. Just remember: my flag never flew - it never even got attached to the pole at any stage. The pole never extended to it's full length (it snapped in my hand as I was tightening it) and it's now leaning against a wall waiting for it's trip to the skip!
