ETI Healthy living thermometer & hygrometer with comfort zone indication

We have various damp spots in our old house and need to monitor two or three rooms. Previous meters have given up the ghost, so bought two of these. Obviously, at this price you will not get accurate reading like a NASA laboratory. Having said that, these two , side by side hardly differ and are giving readings that I know are pretty accurate - as accurate as the average householder will need. Very easy to set up. I think there were instructions, but you won't need them. I will probably get another couple, before the last of my old specimens die on me. So the only question is regarding longevity. Time will tell, but at this price, not too bothered.. Overall, excellent value. Robust casing and clear display. Well recommended. Update June 2022.. Just bought number five as one fell down the back of a really heavy piece of furniture and will have to stay there :( Great little things.

This thermometer/hygrometer has now been sat on a shelf in my room for over a year. I look at it semi-regularly (especially when I feel slightly uncomfortable) and it has given me no reason to doubt its accuracy. I've not even needed to change the battery, which gives it full marks in reliability. The temperature display has 0.1 degree increments, and the humidity display 1% increments. This is more than adequate for any purpose I could think to use it for. The biggest niggle I have is that the arrow showing comfort levels points directly at one of the coloured bars. Green (top) is where it should be; yellow and red are too dry, cyan and blue are too wet. However it goes from being "perfect" to "too wet" with a single %age change rather than gradually, so it's hard to see the tendency at a glance (and it's not shown on the display). You therefore are forced to keep an eye on the actual number. Also, the "comfort" rating seems to be solely reliant on the humidity. 40-59% is comfortable, anything else is uncomfortable (and each of the bars is a 10% increment in humidity). It makes no distinction to the actual fact that the level of human discomfort is a factor of both temperature and humidity. That said, I'm at a risk of being too pedantic. The function of the meter is perfectly adequate, and the best indication of my comfort level is how I'm feeling anyway, regardless of what a meter tells me :-). In terms of quality and reliability, I have no issues at all. It therefore is deserving of the full five stars.

I am no expert on these devices, however, I am pleased with it because of its visual simplicity. It has a nice big readout and colour coded dial, therefore you can easily see the level of humidity from high which is dark blue on the right to low at the other extreme, red. Also the accuracy is good because it always matches the humidity level which shows on my dehumidifier, and the battery seems to last ages, I have had it switched on now for a couple of months and the display is still crystal clear, so should go for ages without changing battery. All in all I am pleased with it.

Very clear display, except in poor light. Pretty accurate compared against other displays. Vertical line for comfort indicates 'optimum' conditions, and gives a good indication of when to turn on the dehumidifier. The air does seem much fresher to breathe when the indicator is in the comfort zone. The comfort indication will vary with temperature and relative humidity. It is suggested that above 60% and below 40% relative humidity, bacteria, viruses, fungi and respiratory infections will thrive more than at 50% relative humidity. If you do not need a clock, or automatic reset of max min, then this is a very good unit to choose.

I had one of these a few years ago to monitor the temperature and humidity in the bathroom. So when I needed another one for my shower room I ordered the same. The shame is apparently the accuracy is +/- 1 degree C which for a thermometer displaying in tenths of a degree seems kind of pointless - (the two I have are exactly 1 degree apart). Its also strange that the device uses 2x AAA batteries but easily has room to have used 2x AA batteries (for longer life). The humidity displays the same on both devices and reads similar percentages to my dehumidifier so that part seems to work better.

This is a "decent" product and much better than i originally thought it would be quality wise. It feels solid and "weighty" yes "weighty" to my surprise, i didn't expect this, i was expecting something more flimsy and lightweight, but this was "not" the case. It seems very accurate with my other temperature clocks within the flat, so i believe it's working fine. You will "definitely" be happy with this product, because I'm a very fussy person in truth and won't accept poorly made stuff. You will only find out this review is true when you receive it, that's all i can say. If you find what I've said here to be a lie, then simply ignore all my reviews, you would then be in your rights to do so, because i would do the very same. This picture makes it look like a flimsy cheap product, but it's "not" in reality when you receive it, trust me on this. Thank you Amazon. :)

I ordered this as a gift to my boyfriend who is currently living as a lodger with an extremely mean subletting-landlord who has been determinedly keeping the property at an extremely unreasonable temperature and level of humidity throughout the winter. The walls and all property were always wet and he could barely stand the cold, but until now he didn't know exactly how humid or cold it was. This device is large and clear, easy to read from a distance, and the indicator is very useful in helping understand what exactly the humidity percentage means in terms of comfort (better than a meaningless number). So now with this device he can know almost exactly how unreasonably cold and humid his lodging is! (8C -13C and 70%-90% most of the time, apparently.) So this has been very useful for him. Not that confronting his landlord with evidence did any good, but now he can justifiably obsess over the situation. Hurrah!

Useful to have to keep track of humidity to avoid mold growth. Makes for a more comfortable environment if you keep the humidity down and maintain a reasonable temperature. Nice to have more than one to use in different rooms. Appears to be accurate battery life reasonable.

It is very light and can slip from your hands. The material of the base is very weak and when I tried to open the base behind the thermometer, it broke

Au bout de 24h l'hygromètre ne marchait plus. Dommage car le produit est joli et les fonctionnalités intéressantes. Je vais chercher ailleurs.
