Great Book!
At last a comprehensive and practical guide to looking after Sea Monkeys. This book offers invaluable knowledge and advice on rearing these little creatures and keeping them healthy. I have to admit that when my young son first brought some Sea Monkeys home we really didn't have a clue and could find very little information. It was such a relief to find David Franklin's Handbook and now I have a happy son and much happier Sea Monkeys!

Finally a decent book on these much ignored pets!
I have been looking for a comprehensive guide to sea monkeys for ages, ever since my kids and I got the bug. The web is full of conflicting information so it is really helpful to find a book that is written in a straightforward way with all the information you need to keep and propagate sea monkeys. Brilliant book, wish I had got it before I wasted a whole batch... After reading this book, I was able to produce heaps of little brine shrimps and they had babies, plus I recouped a lot of eggs... This book does give you some invaluable information if you are seriously interested in hatching the eggs ...

Unforunately very bad book, author has no idea abot sea monkeys
Unforunately very bad book, author has no idea abot sea monkeys. He is following the myth that sea-monkeys are same as brine shrimps sold in shops for fish food. There is only one truth about see monkeys in this book - follow instructions on packets (in case someone bought authentic sea-monkeys kit and not brine shrimps fish food. I have very strong filling that author never bought original sea monkeys and was just always using cheap brine shrimps eggs that you can buy in large amounts in fish shops. The rest of the book except this one sentence is about fish food brine shrimps. Author has no idea about see-monkeys at all. If you will try to follow his instructions and put your sea monkeys into proposed by author salt mix your sea monkeys will die in one day because they are not able to live in sea water. Please just stop selling this book it makes more harm that good to anybody who loves and like to understand sea monkeys.

If you are into tropicals or fancy goldfish rearing, you need this book
I bought this both printed, then it gave me a Kindle download special deal so I purchased and downloaded it too. It covers how to raise them and keep a colony, not just hatch them for fry or process dry eggs (stripping them). If you raise fancy goldfish or tropicals this is worth it as part of your library to supply your fish fry or small fish with live food. Good price as well. I thought this a very good investment I will refer to for a long time. If your kids have Sea Monkeys (one strain of brine shrimp) then at least buy the Kindle version.

Great book
I have sea monkeys and want to give them the best life I can and this book is great tells you everything you need to know to get set up initially or get a better set up going

Nice Books for Kids
I was pleasantly surprised at the way this book was presented. It looks like a very technical book but my kids (7 & 10) really learned a lot. They have Sea Monkeys that they received form Santa and they used this books to understand the life cycle and to begin changing water and prolonging the brine shrimp's life. Since then, based on advice form the books, we have been able to keep them alive for over 3 months and the kids are enjoying them. This is a good purchase for starting out and for helping children understand brine shrimp.
