This is a really nice head magnifying set. It comes packaged well and has several different adjustments that make it indispensable when working on cell phones, laptops or other gadgets. It takes 3 AAA batteries for the light. It has several different lenses of different strengths. It has a pair of arms like regular glasses and it has an adjustable strap that you can use to keep it on you. I really like how it is easy to adjust everything. You can raise the lenses away from you easily to see without magnifying and lower it right back down at any angle. The light is also adjustable to zero in on where I’m working. You just can’t beat it for the price,

Easy to use, took a bit of practice to understand which magnification strength lens to use. The second to lowest one is consistently perfect for helping me see my cross stitch more clearly. Sits on my forehead comfortably even with my large frame eye glasses! So far it doesn’t seem to drain batteries fast, though the light is still nicely bright. (Which also helps me see the crafts a lot more than I expected, sometimes I use it just for the light without the magnify lens) the design is nice, it folds easily so you can store it in a project bag with the craft you’re working on, and the size is pretty versatile: I have a big forehead and this doesn’t cause me discomfort to wear for about an hour or two at a time. Definitely recommend, it’s functional and looks cool

I finally used his magnifying headset to do some fine mechanical work on very tiny chain links and wiring. I tried different magnifying lenses in the headset, but finally settled on the 1X or lowest-power lens as having the greatest depth of field, I think, and being the least disorienting for me. By using the supplied elastic band rather than the eyeglass arms in back, and cramming the two nose pads right in front of my glasses, I could manage to use these with my glasses, which is necessary as I have a moderate amount of astigmatism in one eye and cannot successfully focus without my prescription glasses. It was, however, uncomfortable, and thus the 4 star rating overall. But given the minimal price, this really is a great buy if you have to do small-scale detailed work. The LED light works and can be adjusted a bit for tbe angle it shines down in front of your forehead, but it is not very bright—still, better than nothing! The headset also has a noticeable amount of weight, so unless you can make it really comfortable on your head, you probably could not work that long with it on. As long as you are buying it for occasional repair work like I was, that would not be a problem, but if you are thinking about using this for hours a day and have to wear it over your glasses like I do , you might have problems. I am glad I bought it. Oh, the lenses are plastic and well-formed, but you should be very careful not to scratch them and clean them only with a non-scratching cloth or soap and water.

Got this magnifier on Friday, used it for about 6 hours and currently using it right now! Light is great, the illumination is superb for being so small. At 1st glance I was skeptical as to how comfortable it would be, but after wearing it for hours at a time, surprisingly it’s very comfortable! The ear pieces are detachable & comes w/ a strap to secure it to your head, which is great because I felt that just the ear pieces made it feel like it was sliding off my face, to others it may fit better, but I personally prefer the strap. The adjustability of the actual site piece is great & is easily manipulated for all different shapes of faces/heads. As far as the actual magnifying pieces they’re nice and thick & seem very durable, it comes w/ 5 different magnifiers (3.5/2.5/2.0/1.5/1.0) in a nice hard case for organization. (side note: I think these pieces are great, but could be a little bit bigger IE: Taller/wider), still very good & good quality! I haven’t done further research to see if they have other sizes of magnifiers, but I’m assuming they do, I’m personally good w/ what they provide! Overall I would recommend these to anyone requiring fine detail work such as pyrography (which is what I use them for), but they would work great for fly fisherman who make their own hooks, or computer/cell phone, jewelry, watch etc repairs! 5 stars from me & I will most definitely recommend them to all the people I know for sure!

Previously used the band type light and magnifier. Did an okay job, but this product is far superior. PROS: First it comes with different levels of magnification. Very easy to tailor to a specific purpose. The light is very bright and easy to focus directly on the project. Fits very tight on the head. If you think it is too tight, there is an optional strap to hold it in place. Great idea It is very comfortable to use and wear CONS: The batteries are not the easiest to put in, but not so difficult as to drop a star rating The magnifying lens can be easily bumped out of the holder. It is like wearing glasses, you have to watch where you move your head while wearing this product. Not a show stopper, nor enough to drop a star. Just noting that you can bump the lens out if you are not careful. Does not break the lens, you just have to stop and put it in again. I liked this product enough to buy one for my daughter who does a lot of hand work requiring a light and magnifier. Highly recommend this product.

Super easy right out of the box, didn't even need to read the directions (especially since they are only in Chinese with no English version, lol). But, like I said, no need for the directions because this product was open and use and it works wonderfully! It is hard to believe such a professional product could cost so less. We used for very fine detail work on a sculpture that had some blemishes. With this product, we could use one of the various lenses to magnify the area where we used Dremel tool to resurface area. Great product that can be used for many purposes. Highly recommended and great value for the price!

Wrote a whole review and then Amazon app decided to refresh the page and deleted everything I wrote (thanks Amazon). So here's a quick rewrite. It has good stuff--nose piece is removable, the glasses arms are swappable with an adjustable band, multiple lenses with a nice case, adjustable light and lens angles. Bad stuff--forehead hurts when wearing. The rubber part is hard and makes indents in your head, it gets a little heavy wearing it for a while especially with the batteries in. Main gripe: lens don't stay in the headpiece as i think they were intended to. It seems like the lens is supposed to slide in and slightly snap in place, but the lenses I have don't do that. They slip in and it doesn't feel like they will stay. And in my case, they didn't. One of my lenses continued to fall out of the headpiece until it finally broke. The part of the lens that sticks into the headpiece snapped off and now I can't use it anymore. I'm really disappointed that the one thing this headset is supposed to do... It can't actually do properly. I'm not sure if i got a faulty headset or lenses or something, but this is an issue for all of my lenses so maybe it's a problem with the entire thing. Not sure. It was cheap and it still does what i need it to do (albeit now without the strongest magnifier lens... RIP my 3.5x lens) so I'll keep using--I DO like it, I'm just frustrated by the constant lens issue I had.

Avid puzzler and this has been a game changer!

I love that I can change the lvl of detail I.need to see in a repair or painted detail, by a simple change of the lenses and then tweaking the angle. They have been extremely useful to.me.

Excellent for doing my cross stitch. Brings everything into focus. Well worth spending a bit extra for something that does the job.
