Cute and durable knife for little helpers in the kitchen.
This little knife is perfect for young children to help in the kitchen, I have also found that young adults with learning difficulties feel more confident cutting up ingredients as it is so easy to use. It is sharp enough to cut through fruit and vegetables, the size of the knife feels comfortable whilst using, it appeals to children for the cute dog design, it is also available in different colours, my Grandson chose the blue. The knife is durable and sturdy and I believe that it is value for money.

Great knives.
Great knives for kids. We attended a cookery class in the school and the company running the class provided these knives to use. I googled them as soon as I got home because I’ve been so reluctant to let my 6 year old help me in the kitchen.

Surprised at how well this cut
I bought this for my niece who is 7. My sister's wary of giving kids knives to work with, and as a result, my niece didn't get to help chop anything for dinner - she'd be given tomatoes and lettuce and get really frustrated when they wouldn't slice properly with her blunt kids knife. So I bought her this. It's an oddly deceiving knife, you'd assume that it wouldn't chop much, and to look at, and even touch, it doesn't seem as if it's going to cut through anything, but it does. It's definitely safe for kids to hold, which was my main priority. It's cute that it's styled like a little dog, and everyone giggled that it had a little tail and everything. It put my sister's mind at rest too which was a bonus. That day my niece chopped carrots, potatoes, broccoli and red pepper, without any difficulty and we all made a Sunday Roast. It cut through everything really well. That was the first time my niece had willingly eaten her veggies without complaint. She is a VERY picky eater and refuses to touch veggies. Now, she says that the carrots don't taste as nice unless she chops them with her special dog knife. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing yet, but she enjoys being involved with the cooking and meal prep, and she ate a carrot, which she HATED before we bought this knife. That in itself is good enough for me.

My 3 year old enjoys chopping vegetables with these
These seem like the right size for 3 year old's hands, and my son often "helps" me chop up vegetables :) Having bought two knives, we only ever use the black one, as we find it cuts harder vegetables some what better. It can just about cut carrots (if I make thin strips first - it won't cut carrots whole, not with 3 year old strength anyway) and onions. The knife is clearly designed for small hands, as if I try to chop using these, my fingers scrape on the chopping board. The main point though, is that they are safe for small hands and I can let my son chop away next to me in the kitchen (always supervised, of course!). I have tried running the blades on the back of my hand and they definitely do not cut skin.

Child friendly dog theme knife
Great childrens knife to get practice cutting fruit/ foods. This can cut through many foods with ease, even a hard apple straight from the fridge. But at the same time will Not cut childs finger or skin. Well made and great child friendly knife.

It works!
My 4 year old uses this in the kitchen and loves it. It is sharp enough to actually cut up food and the right size for little hands. It is very well made, good quality and robust. The doggy design is cute and appeals to kids. So far the knife has been used to cut up chocolate, butter, mushrooms, cheese, sandwiches and pastry. Although we have had no accidents with the knife I still supervise carefully and teach good knife skills, such as making a bridge or a claw to hold the food thus preventing little fingers getting chopped off. I would recommend it to any young chef, for all it is cute in design I would actually use this myself as it doesn't feel like some kids kitchen kit - cheap and flimsy.

Safe for toddler to use
Good purchase. My 3yo is very happy to use this 'doggie knife'. It feels safe to handle with small hands - it's not really sharp - yet it does cut through fruits easily.

safe yet functional for toddlers and up
I gave this to my less than 3 year old grandson who loved it. His 5 year old brother immediately wanted one like it. The tip is blunt, and I gently pulled the knife across my hand- no pain. Obviously, children that age need to be supervised even with a "safe" knife like this. While it works well for 3 or 4 year olds, I think even older children will still enjoy using it- depending on how used they are to using these kind of things. I would expect children to have outgrown this knife by age 8. Definitely recommend as a first real dinner and helping in the kitchen knife.

Bra kniv och kul design
Sonen älskar att han får vara med och hjälpa till i köket! Vi undviker så långt det går att använda plast vid matlagning och matförvaring, så en rostfri barnkonvention var ett självklart val.

Better than other brand I have bought
My 2 1/2 year old found this knife very easy to use and it’s easier to cut or “sharper” than another brand of kid‘s knife I have purchased. I like how the shape of the blade is flat against the chopping board.
