Great ball launcher you will never buy a £ shop 1 ever again.
This little thing is by far the best thing i have bought my pooch this year and i have bought him loads of stuff. I have been using this everyday for around 4 months and it is in as new condition even though my boy has had a good chew at it now and then. My reason for buying this was that i wanted a ball launcher that fitted inside my over the shoulder bag i use when walking my dog. I wasn't expecting to much from this little thing but boy was i surprised when after a day of using it i got the hang of it and could launch a ball over half a football pitch. The chuck it itself is made of hard plastic and is really sturdy, it has survived many an attack from a variety of dogs. I have had the bigger versions you get from the £ shop and believe me when i tell you they are a very cheap imitation. I can get a further throw with this with my left arm than i could with the bigger £ shop ones with my right arm (im right handed). I would recommend this to anyone with a dog that is active and loves to chase balls. The only thing i would say is if you suffer from a bad back and are buying one of these launcher to save you from bending then depending on how bad your back is i would maybe say get the bigger one but make sure it is chuckit! and you won't be disappointed. I also recommend pairing this with the chuck it ultra balls check my review on them to. The also get my seal of approval. Giant thumbs up from me well done again chuckit!

GO FETCH!!!!
Chuckit! Pocket Ball Launcher (Colors Vary) This is a great little launcher - it easily fits into a bag or rucksack & even fits in a jacket pocket (if you don't mind it poking out a bit). I've never used a full-sized ball launcher before so don't know how it performs against one but this easily launches a ball 100 yds without any real effort - certainly far enough to keep my dog entertained & running. I also bought some Snug rubber balls to use with it - they fit perfectly and are extremely tough. We've been using one for the past 3 months and it doesn't show a mark on it - I have a 3 yr old Boxer who can demolish a tennis ball in 10 minutes of throwing. Snug Rubber Dog Balls - Tennis Ball Size - Tough, Durable, Virtually Indestructible - Extra Bouncy (3 Pack) Thoroughly recommended!!

Handy hall thrower for dog walks
I bought this ball thrower so I could carry it easily on my dog walks as my dog is ball obsessed and needed the ability to hide it in my coat! The thrower itself is brilliant, it does take time to get used to it. However as per other reviews if you swing your arm side ways it goes far! I actually find it easier than the longer thrower I have used perviously. I really love the thrower and use it all the time! On a really negative note - the ball that comes with it is HORRENDOUS. The company needs to look at this. Within 5 minutes of my dog having the ball it was bust , it split in half. This was a shock to me as she has had tonnes of balls and NEVER bust one of them let alone in 5 minutes flat. She has never destroyed any toy so the quality is total rubbish. On the plus side, the thrower will take a normal tennis ball. All in all if you want a thrower that is short, easy to stick in your pocket then this is for you. Just be aware you will need a spare ball. The company need to either remove the ball from the package and provide a better ball or just sell the thrower itself. I would have paid a little extra for a rubber ball or even a tennis ball!!!!!

Yay! A launcher I can fit in my bag!
I was really happy to find a ball launcher that I can fit in my bag for longer walks/outings/day trips as the regular, longer launcher is cumbersome to carry about. Whilst this launcher is obviously not as effective as the regular, longer size and requires a bit more oomph when throwing due to its shorter handle, you can still get a good amount of distance with it and don't have to touch the yucky ball! Perfect! Also have to bend down a bit more (obviously) when picking the ball up. This is fine if you don't have back problems but might pose more of a problem for those who do or for older people. However, this is not a fault with the product, as, inherently, it is meant to be a 'pocket' size (although it definitely wouldn't fit in your pocket!)

Too rigid
I was disappointed with this product. Perhaps I never read the description properly, but it's very small. Also, it does not flex well, like another brand I have, so the ball doesn't fling out and away as easily. I have to really throw hard, for it to go, and it doesn't go far at all, which defeats the purpose. I think if you used it with a ball on a harder surface it may make the ball bounce, and be fun for some dogs in that way, but I can't get any distance with this thrower. That said, it is sturdy and would last long. I just can't use it.

Small but mighty
Small enough to carry easily but gives the ball some velocity to get your dog running

My dogs favourite toy
Great product but I didn't get it from amazon. My dog loves it though and when he sees it he's like a puppy bouncing around

Worst product ever
Absolutely useless. Dont waste your money. It does not launch the ball anywhere apart from straight down on the ground in front of you. Worst buy ever.

Best toy, the end
Combined with the Max Glow ball, this is the best dog toy available on modern planet Earth. I have a burly 92lb. pit bull mix with highly developed prey drive, and she will chase the glow ball for hours if I let her. The tiny sport launcher (Sport 12M) is the best, because you can still throw the ball really far, but you can also slam the ball down a few feet away from yourself so it bounces up in the air and your dog has to jump to catch it, or you can throw it up really high so it bounces 15' away or so and your dog can jump to catch it. We sometimes have to play fetch in a pretty small area, so it's nice to have the small launcher for these games. The larger launchers aren't as fun in small areas. You can play the same games but it's trickier to throw the ball correctly. Also, the small launcher is a lot easier to carry. The small launcher fits in my dog-walk-stuff backpack (with the ball in the launcher so I don't have to dig for it later), but the big ones don't easily. The launcher also has a hole in the end so you can hang it from your bag or whatever with a carabiner. The big ones are too long for that in most cases, and swing back and forth. Also-also my dog loves to ask for the launcher, then when I give it to her she plays keep-away and it's adorable. The big launcher I have is harder for her to balance in her mouth, so she just lays down and chews on it until it gets taken away. She's chewed on all of the four Chuck Its we've owned, but she's only broken one (a big one), but that's because she got ahold of it when no one was home. The little one in my bag is totally chewed up but still works great. I think they're sturdier than the big ones. Except for the launcher she chewed into pieces, which was our fault, the only reason we've had to replace anything was because we lost it. Usually we keep the launcher and ball in the backpack so she can't get to them and so they don't get lost, so we rarely have to replace them. There is just not a better value in toys, and the startup price is really low. Once again I really recommend the glow ball! It doesn't get soggy no matter how wet the grass or the dog mouth is. It is fun to chase because it is slippery and it collapses when it's squeezed, so it pops out of the dog's mouth and flies away if they bite it at the wrong angle; it's really bouncy, and stays bouncy because it can't be popped; it whistles so you can usually hear it even if you can't see it; and it really glows enough for nighttime catch, even if you only have your cellphone flashlight to charge it up! UPDATE: I should have said, we have the 12M launcher, which means the handle is 12 inches long and it uses a medium-sized ball. The medium ball is 2.5 inches in diameter, so the launcher will fit regular tennis balls, too! But my dog won't play with regular tennis balls anymore because they aren't anywhere near as fun as the glow balls, and I think she doesn't like having gross sloshy muddy tennis balls in her mouth. I lost my short launcher awhile back and could only get a long one locally to replace it, which reminded me that you have to lean over a lot further to use the short launcher. So if you have trouble leaning over to the point that your hand is a foot above the ground, this may be hard for you to use. I wish Amazon would let us choose colors, because my old one was green, and the big one is orange, both of which are bright enough to see in the grass from far away, even at night. Still, best toy!

Accept no substitute.
The best I own. Just the right balance between flex and stiffness for the best throws.
