Trixie Corner Toilet with Roof, 14 x 8 x 11 cm

I wasn't sure from previous reviews whether this toilet could be used with wood shavings or whether you had to use it with proper litter. So at first we just put it in the cage with wood shavings..and our hamster completely ignored it. We tried for a couple of weeks, putting in a little bit of soiled shavings and putting it in his usual toilet corner but he just tried to push it out of the way, and when that didn't work he changed the corner he used. However almost as soon as we put the proper litter into it he started using it happily. For the first day or two he just played in the litter and dug in it. But within a few days we noticed that he'd started using it for its proper purpose. Now the cage doesn't smell, it's really easy to keep clean and our hamster really does seem more settled. He's a large hamster and its a really good size for him. It can be a bit fiddly to fit the top and bottom together but it always goes together in the end and I'm sure I'll discover the knack soon!

My Syrian is rather finicky and was taking to weeing outside of her cage which was definitely not ideal. In an attempt to stop that I bought one of these litter trays along with Superpet Critter Litter (which is fab) and I'm very glad to say it worked! My Syrian took to it instantly and uses this 100% of the time. It's not built to last though, the plastic is easily broken (mine has managed to even crack it in two places!) and I imagine if your hamster is extra chewy it wouldn't last that long. However, it is definitely worth it and I'll happily buy another when the current becomes too chewed!

Wonderful product; cheap, and absolutely worth the money. Suits the corner of pets at home cage very well. A good enough size for my Roborovskis as they have pleanty room in the toilet. They love the bathroom - as using it for sand bath and toilet. Helps keeping the cage clean so I don’t have to always replace the bedding. Came in two pieces, a bit difficult to put the pieces together. Would recommend to offer a bathroom to your hamsters - you have no idea how they will love it.

My first thought was that it was too small for the hamster, but she is just a baby so will be fine whilst she is little. The quality is not fantastic but it does it’s job. I’m worried I will break the clasps if I try to take it apart to clean it. It seems to be quite brittle plastic.

This toilet is a great idea, and our hamster quickly learnt to use it, so the rest of the cage stays clean. However, the quality of it is dreadful; it is really difficult to secure the lid onto the base. On our first one, the rear clip bit broke off straight away, although I was still, with a struggle, able to eventually secure the lid on. Very shortly afterwards the lid cracked, so I ordered a new one so our hamster didn't injure herself on the broken plastic. The second one has lasted less than a week; the fit was worse than the first one and the second time I tried to get the lid back on the bit under the doorway completely broke. I will be sending it back.

Excellent product! Arrived very quickly. A little tricky clicking the yop half to the base but managed it in the end! All I can say is I put would shavings in first but my gerbils just investigated and went in and out. However, after reading a review on Amazon I saw that you can add chinchilla sand to it....this worked perfectly!! They now do their business in the toilet and so easy to clean!! What I did was put a few of their droppings from other areas of their cage in the toilet first so they knew what it was meant for!! Works brilliantly!! Oh yeah....the 'pooper scooper' that comes with the toilet is a fantastic item too! Makes it so easy to pick up and droppings while leaving sand in the toilet. Highly recommend this product!! :-)

the first few days our hamster didn't understand the toilet. she peed in one corner. that's where i placed it, so she changed doing her business to the other corner or into the wheel or into the tubes. got so fed up, because it took me ages to clean the whole thing so i took all levels out, put her house and everything else on the bottom of the cage and changed toilet to the corner she did pee in last, soaking up the pee with woodshavings beforehand and threw that into the toilet before placing it into that corner. then she got it. persistance is the key. if i would have left levels up she'd never have got it, for she kept weeing on the one side but up on the levels. starting to replace the levels today, she still poos into her house and unfortunately i think this is going to stay like that.(keeping her warm?:-) ) she was for too long(8weeks old for over 2 weeks in the petshop with 3 of her siblings in a small cage nesting each in one of the corners)my guess of why.that's why she's still got that habbit of doing her business in her house/nest. But I am so greateful for her wee not smelling anymore and not having to wipe it from various places. so: excellent product!!!!

A good product, shame it's so poorly made. There are sharp edges on the coloured plastic - these are easily sanded down with a nail fil or sandpaper, but really you shouldn't need to do this straight out of the box. Also, as soon as I tried to attach the top to the bottom, part of the grey plastic snapped off at the back. When I looked to see why, as I didn't think I'd used excessive force, I could see that it wasn't high enough to clip onto the top - so when I'd clipped the back on and then put pressure on the front to close it, it gave way at the weakest point. It doesn't prevent the potty from being used, hence the 2 stars, but if my hamster decides to, he will be able to remove the lid. For the sake of a few pounds, I'm not going to bother returning, but I've since been pointed in the direction of a roofless potty that I will buy as a replacement.

Un peu petit, même pour un hamster nain pour y mettre du sable. La petite pelle est pratique pour les pipis et les selles. Peut-être utilisé pour faire une cabane. Bonne qualitée mais attention aux chutes.

Lo compré como esquinero para dos ratas de 2 meses, la verdad no lo usan pero es cosa aparte, especifico que es para animales muy pequeños como hámster porque mis ratas no lograban entrar con la parte superior colocada por lo que se la quité, al final lo terminaron usando como plato de comida porque es muy pequeño, por otro lado la pala no me sirvió de nada porque es muy pequeña. Cumple con todo lo que promete.

Gute Qualität und besonderst wenn es 2Stk um den gleichen Preis sind. Wo sond ein Stück schon mindestens soviel kostet.

Scatola perfetta ma prodotto danneggiato probabilmente perché troppo "pressato" nella confezione (la plastica della base era crepata). Nonostante questo sono soddisfatta perché rimandarla indietro è stato semplice ed il rimborso è arrivo in pochissimo tempo!
