Make sure you hear the click and you can see the symbol on the screen implying “ready to use” as illustrated on the leaflet before use. MY EXPERIENCE My cycle is approximately 31 days. General rule of thumb is that regardless of the length of your cycle, ovulation occurs 14days prior to the day of your period.For my case, ovulation happens around 17th day of my cycle. The app I was using gave me two days earlier. Any way my last cycle was on 20th November, the app gave me 4th Dec which was 15th day of my cycle.I started testing from 30th November 11th day of my cycle to be save. I tested twice everyday , morning and at night.On 17th day of my cycle, no smiley in the morning but I got a smiley 😊 on the same day at night at 20:30pm only once. No smiley the next day although some people got it twice or for two days ADVICE First things first, track your cycle and subtract 14 days.( NOTE). Below only apply to normal cycle of 35 days cycle. 28day cycle- ovulation happens in 14th day of cycle 29days- 15 30 days- 16 31days - 17 When you know the day of the cycle you are likely to ovulate, test couple days in advance and I highly recommend testing twice per day. Testing close to your day of ovulation means you have plenty of test kits to use so why not use two per day. The ovulation window is between 12- 36, 48 hours hence it’s possible to miss it if you test once per day and that’s why I only captured once. I will update the pregnancy results when I get reports. I prefer these to the advanced digital because they just give you the actual fertile peak days which usually coincide with ewcm so no need for the build up and waiting for static smilies. Easy to use and doesn't take too long.

This is quite useful as I thought I ovulated 2 days later when in fact it was 2 days earlier than I thought. Its easy to use as there are no guessing games of how thick or dark the line is. My husband was quite happy because I don't have to worry him figure it out. Its either No Smiley or Smiley! Been trying for a year. So now we wait and see

Very easy to use,and clearly identifies when you're ovulating.ive used cheaper sticks where you have to gauge whether the line is definitive enough to show ovulation but this kit takes the hassle out of it

I got this test because it's the leading brand and assumed its reliability was very good. However have since learnt it's not as good as cheaper brands and unlike cheap brands that use a 2 line indicator. With this test there is either a face or nothing. No indicator of ovulation approaching until it's on your doorstep. However other than that minor glitch. Comfortable and easy to use. A nice design.

I'm not one of those reviewers who will write that they got pregnant the first or the second month they were using this ovulation kit, but I can verify that this test works. When I first got this kit I also started charting my temperatures just to verify that I ovulated (the ovulation prediction kits can only detect that you are about to ovulate, but they can't confirm that you actually ovulated). It was my first experience using an ovulation kit, and I didn't trust it 100%. The first month I was using this kit, it detected my ovulation on the fifth day of testing. My temperature rose two days later and it remained elevated through the end of that cycle indicating that I ovulated. The second month this test detected ovulation the day before the spike in my temperatures. In other words, the test works, and it is accurate in predicting ovulation, which puts my mind at ease and probably means that I can stop charting my temperatures. This is great news because I really like using this test. I find it to be very convenient and mess-free. It comes with 20 test sticks and one test result reader stick. It is very easy to use, and if you want to carry it with you to work for testing during the day (which you don't have to do because testing in the morning before you leave the house is sufficient), you can. Convenience was very important to me, and I didn't want to stress and fret too much about testing, peeing in the cap, interpreting the results, etc. This test gives me just that. You insert a test stick into the reader, pee on it, and then three minutes later you have the result (smiley face for ovulation, empty circle for no ovulation). If your cycles are relatively regular, this is a great test to use. I used five sticks in the first cycle (you start testing 17 days before your expected period), and four sticks the second cycle, so basically this one box will probably last me close to four cycles which is a good value for the money it costs. When you are done with the test just press the "eject" button, and discard the testing stick. The result will first disappear after about a minute or two from the time it is first displayed, but when you eject the stick the reader will display the result again for a short while which is great if you want to quickly jump in the shower or get interrupted immediately after testing. In summary, using this test can't guarantee that you will get pregnant as soon as you start using it, but it is accurate in predicting ovulation which is obviously one of the most crucial things for getting pregnant and for gathering information about your cycles.

Let me start off by saying I had a tubal pregnancy (unplanned) which lead to complete removal of my right tube in July 2009. We started trying for baby November 2010. It was a little disappointing at first and then proceeded to be very frustrating as Aunt Flo kept rearing her ugly head each month (my cycles are very regular btw). I was going off of ovulation calenders, the small microscope that detects ovulation through saliva, and eventually bought cheap ovulation strips where the line has to be as dark or darker than the control line. Those are all just plain stupid and very inconsistent, IMO. I did have a hysterosalpingogram (HSP January 20th, 2012. It's a procedure where a catheter is inserted into your uterus & ballooned open. Dye is then shot into the catheter to see if the fallopian tubes (or in my case tube) have a clear path to the ovaries. Now, my doctor did said there could've been a small mucus membrane(s) that's blocking the path(s) but when dye is shot into them it can clear the path(s) for fertilization. Anyhow, i was skeptical but purchased this anyways because a friend of mine said she knew a lady that got pregnant with in 2 months on this OPK. My smiley face came a day or two later than what I originally thought my ovulation would be (Day 18/19). I tested at the same time (about noon) the following day (Day 19) since I know ovulation only takes place for approximately 24 hours, another smiley! I wanted to make sure it wasn't a false reading so I tested again later that evening and my smiley was gone, which was a good sign! I took a pregnancy test on the 1st day of my missed period (a Tuesday), negative. I was not feeling any different & expected it to come within the next day or two. I still had not started by Saturday (St. Patty's Day) so I took another pregnancy test that morning and got my POSITIVE!!! I had my first doctor's appointment yesterday and we're due November 19th!! I am still in disbelief but super excited. I am not sure if it was my procedure that helped us or these OPK. I give credit to both actually since I was 2 days off every month & this OPK confirmed with a simple reading. I have a friend who tested too & she got her smiley face yesterday!! I will keep you all posted on her results in a few weeks... TIPS: - don't make these tests any harder than they are, they're simple in fact! - insert the test strip into the reader with arrows facing each other - wait for the blinking in the test window (blinking means it's ok to test & the strip is inserted correctly) - i would recommend peeing in a cup then dipping (if you pee directly onto the stick, you could have too much or not enough urine for the test to read, which will result in an error message) - do not use your 1st pee of the day to test. OPK are not like pregnancy tests. The LH surge is best detected by the 2nd or 3rd pee of the day - make sure you have at least 2-3 hours in between times of urination so it is somewhat potent for the test - best times to test are between 10am - 10pm GOOD LUCK & BABY DUST TO YOU ALL!!!

I purchased this just to help me narrow down when our best chance for conceiving was. I tested faithfully every morning and got one negative after another. I was in a panic (almost) until I found out that morning is not always the best time to test. Your LH surge can last for AS LITTLE AS 10 HOURS. Some doctors recommend going to the bathroom when you first wake up, waiting an hour and THEN testing. Others say the best times to test are between 10 AM and 2 PM and between 5 and 8 PM. So, if you're testing first thing every morning at 6 AM, you might give yourself some needless anxiety. You're also supposed to restrict your liquid consumption 2 to 4 hours before testing (recommendations vary). I will try testing again next month and do it later in the morning. I also purchased the basic LH testing sticks. If this month is all goose eggs, I'll make an appointment to see my doctor again, but like I said, there is more to this ovulation test than I realized. This kit makes testing easy, but the timing may be another matter entirely. **Update** I was determined not to miss my LH surge this month, so I've been testing each morning - an hour after first urinating in the morning - with a basic LH testing strip. I've been testing around noon or 1 PM with the Clearblue Digital Ovulation test and then again around 8 or 9 PM with another basic LH testing strip. (Like I said, I was determined not to miss it!) This morning, I read what I was 90% sure was a positive on the test strip. I tested with the Clearblue Digital test at 1 PM, and I got a smiley face. So, after giving this a second try, I will say: Positives: - You can take this to work with you if you choose to test sometime during the day instead of being limited to being at home. (As opposed to the basic LH test strips, which require you to pee in a cup and dip the strip into the urine. Imagine taking a cup with you to pee in at work?) It's easy to put the tester and a strip in your pocket and take it with you to test when you choose. - Test is easy to read. (I was pretty sure the plain strip was a positive in the AM, but I was 100% sure when I used the Clearblue Digital test. - There are 20 test sticks in this pack, so you have more chances to detect your LH surge. Negatives: - Instructions could be improved. I'm sure different doctors recommend slightly different things, but I've read several different places that say your LH surge happens in the morning and may take a few hours to be detectible in your urine. That being generally accepted, I'm not sure why this product instructs you to test first thing in the morning.

Good product. Works as described. 2 possible results - "empty circle" OR "circle with smiley." Simple and easy to use. This brand was recommended to me by the fertility specialist. I am 40 & have had multiple gyne surgeries. This kit does work as stated. This ovulation kit is NOT the same as the Clearblue fertility monitor. Interesting thing that I learned - Ovulation may differ from month to month. The first month I used this product I was on day 14. The second month day 12. I have regular menses. Hints for using it: 1)Some sites say test in afternoon between 2-6 pm. I found this to be true. The first month I starting testing on day 9 at 2-3 pm, all negative. Then on day 12, I was wondering if it actually worked -so I started testing first urine in morning AND 2-3 pm. Then on day 14 - am urine negative, but 2-3 pm was positive. The second month I started testing on day 11 - afternoons only, and then day 12 was positive at 2-3pm. (No need to keep testing once it's positive.) 2) Also try urinating around 4 hrs before your afternoon test. So urinate around 11 am for a 2-3pm test. And don't drink a lot of excess fluids that 4 hrs before the test. 3) Urinate in a cup. I bought the small Dixie/plastic cups and did the dip method for 15 sec. (They fit easily in my purse). I found that much easier and you get the right amount of urine than the urinate on the stick method, especially since you are reusing the handle/stick and just replacing the tip each time. And the tip has to be connected to the handle before exposing to urine to work. I NEVER had any error messages with this method. Good luck. Quick note - I have read other reviews about a "blinking smiley" - that should NOT happen. There are only 2 results and the screen has a blinking symbol in the corner to show its working while waiting for results, but the results come up - "empty circle" OR "circle with smiley." If you are getting something different - it might be defective or an imitation or different product altogether. Send it back and notify amazon if you had a bad seller.

I had been tracking my cycle for a year after a surprise pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage in early 2014 at 3 weeks. My cycle is between 30-31 days. We decided that it was a good time to have another baby. Anyway, bought this kit 2 months after 3 unsuccessful months trying to conceive. My husband and I were basing our chances on the supposed 16-18 day expected ovulation dates. Thanks to this test, I discovered that I ovulated between day 14 to 20 during the 6 months of tracking my ovulation. My testing routine has been bathroom break every 1 and a half to 2 hours and drink about 2 cups of water in between. I got positive results (smiley face) the 4 times I tested in a 48-hour period (early morning, early evening first day; early morning, late night second day). The reason I continued testing after a smiley face was to check whether I was at the beginning of the LH phase or the end of it. Also instead of peeing directly on the test stick and risking getting the tester wet, I use dixie cups to pee in and dip the test tip in for 15 seconds then wait about 3 minutes. The downside is that this kit is fairly expensive imo and the digital reader will not last over 2 cycles of use, so buying extra strips like I did ended up costing more because I had to get a replacement reader since the original broke after monitoring 2 cycles. In early 2016 after 2 years of unsuccessfully trying to conceive, my husband has his sperm analysis and it came back with terrible results: 0% normal sperm and 100% with defects and other numbers we didn't understand. The two urologists he saw were unhelpful in figuring out the source and simply said it must be due to a varicocele and that the only treatment was IVF through a fertility clinic, which is around $8,000-$12,000 for one cycle. The whole experience left us feeling like they just wanted us to shell out a ton of money to make these doctors wealthier without trying alternative options, so we declined. We did some more research. My husband likes to ride bikes on trails and some online sites suggested that tight clothing, pressure, or even the heat from a laptop on your lap can damage sperm. Right around spring of 2016, he started taking vitamins(B-12 complex, macca root, zinc, folic acid, fish oil, ginkgo biloba, and others). I stopped tracking my ovulation and spending hundreds of dollars on pregnancy tests for obvious reasons. Forward to November 2016, I started tracking my ovulation again. I'm 33 years old and want to know if everything is okay on my end; I had our son at age 21 so we were both in prime health then. On Christmas morning last month, I took a pregnancy test after a late period and breast tenderness. We couldn't believe it but I am pregnant and we think the vitamins may have had a lot to do with it, after we had given up. This ovulation kit did an excellent job at accurately tracking my ovulation. If all goes well, our baby is expected to be born in late August 2017.
