The Intel Core i7-13700KF presents a compelling value proposition for its price. As part of Intel's 13th Gen "Raptor Lake" series, it boasts a robust 8 Performance-core (P-core) and 8 Efficient-core (E-core) configuration, mirroring the previous-gen flagship i9-12900K but at a more accessible price point. This configuration, coupled with updates like larger L2 caches for P-cores and improved cache hardware-prefetchers, contributes to its outstanding performance. In terms of raw performance, the i7-13700KF demonstrates commendable prowess. It outperforms the 12th gen flagship Core i9-12900K in single and multi-core tests, albeit marginally, and shows significant performance gains over its direct predecessor, the Core i7-12700K, with a 12% and 32.5% lead in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. When compared to competitors like the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 9 5950X, the i7-13700KF shows a remarkable 23% and 25% single-core performance bump, and an even more impressive 67% and 15% lead in multi-core performance against these AMD chips. However, buyers should be aware that the Core i7-13700KF does not come with integrated graphics. For users who require onboard video capabilities, the slightly higher-priced Core i7-13700K would be the best choice. The absence of integrated graphics in the 13700KF model can be a significant consideration for those who don't plan to use a dedicated graphics card. The i7-13700KF stands out as an excellent choice for its price, offering high-end performance that rivals even some flagship models from the previous generation. Its value is particularly notable when considering its performance metrics against direct competitors and predecessors

The Intel Core i7-13700K 16-core processor is a powerhouse CPU that strikes an impressive balance between gaming prowess and demanding productivity workloads. With its hybrid architecture, featuring a mix of performance and efficiency cores, it delivers exceptional multi-threaded performance that rivals other higher-end chips, making it a fantastic value for its price point. While it can run hot and is quite power-hungry under heavy loads, necessitating a robust cooling solution, its ability to handle intensive tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, and high-refresh-rate gaming with ease makes it a compelling choice for enthusiasts and professionals alike for consistent results.

As a software engineer and avid gamer, I recently upgraded to this for my new build, and I'm pretty impressed so far. Cyberpunk 2077 runs much smoother now, even with all the settings cranked up. Multitasking is a breeze; I can stream, game, and have multiple apps open without any noticeable lag. I haven't gotten deep into overclocking yet, but the initial results are promising. Thermals seem manageable with my current cooler, but I might invest in something beefier if I push it harder. It dropped right into my 700 series motherboard without any issues. For the price, it feels like a solid deal, especially considering the performance boost over my old CPU. I'm hoping this will keep my system relevant for a few years, and while it does draw more power, the performance gains are worth it for me.

Upgraded from an i3 12100F primarily to edit video and I'm very happy with the performance. Davinci Resolve was simply too much for the i3. With the i7, my render times dropped from an hour to 10 minutes and editing on the timeline is leaps and bounds smoother. Now the bad... When I swapped out the CPU, I kept my Cooler Master Hyper 212 120mm air cooler paired with the i7. For gaming, it was no problem. Temps averaged around 60c, which I could live with. When it came to rendering video however, temps would skyrocket to 100c and throttle. I ended up purchasing a Cooler Master Master Liquid 360L Core AIO and temps now average around 80c, sometimes peaking at 90c. Bottom line is that if you're going to be using this for CPU intensive tasks definitely pair this with an AIO.

It can handle anything and everything. I was questioning my purchase originally due to the stability issues but i still bought it and have no regrets. Just make sure bios is up to date and all should be good i definitely recommend this beast to anyone building a pc.

The CPU has been great to me over the years that handles well, without issues. Video editing, gaming, and so on but recently my CPU was one of the ones that ran into that voltage issue that people are getting warranties on. When you're playing stuff like games or high-end editing (4K) it could sometimes freeze and crash and you would have to just start the program back up, so I started the warranty process with Intel and I'm in the process of having it replaced. Other it's still a great CPU, and Intel warranty process seems smooth.

heavily dependent on motherboard settings, but this is enough power paired with a high end gpu to bring star citizen on its latest patch 3.19.1 as of this writing above 55 fps at 2160p on a 55 inch tv display. I mention that game because for me, if i can run it stable, with a good amount of FPS, current patch performance issues not considered its what I wanted. my numero uno tip for you is - if you are getting HOT temps ... like 85C or close to that while gaming? you want to go turn off Intel adaptive boost technology in your bios. research your board and see if you can undervolt. the intel fail safes that asus has setup on my board put voltage at 1.4+. using the asus typical setting its more like 1.2 or 1.3. much cooler. and stable. also asus had long term load at the same wattage as short term. switched that back to intel spec and ... yeah its not as bad of an oven now. then look into improving your cooling. be nice if it was like not 100 bucks over the 13600 however.

It works good for a few weeks then starts giving performance instability, it doesn’t perform good in games and gives so many fps drops and stutters. I can’t return it no more because it’s out of the return limit please don’t buy this product! :(
