I read that this is always on, looking for a signal. so if i’m in my bedroom and bluetooth is switched on, on my phone, i get a call, what happens?

on most phones the incoming call will disable the music, you can set the device up not to take calls via you phone settings although the audio would still pause.

Can you add an extra bass?

I guess you have to do it only on your equaliser on Bluetooth audio player, choosing extra bass. Adding extra bass speaker potentially will need extra amplifier, but I won't be doing it, because I'm extremely happy with the sound quality and loudness. Especially in my bathroom, these sound brilliant.
