H2O Audio Surge S+ Waterproof Sport Headphones, (Short Cord Design) – In-Ear Sweatproof Earbuds for Swimming, Running, Cycling – IPX8 Waterproof, Compatible with iPods & MP3 Players

So I’ve been using an underwater audio iPod shuffle with some cheap Chinese headphones for a few years but they would often leak and get muffled. Decided to give these a go even though they were fairly pricey. I would say they are worth the money. Sound is decent, loud and bassy. I opted for the largest ear buds which I have to twist and squeeze to get them right in but the material is nice and soft so there’s zero discomfort. Length of cable is spot on really, long enough so there’s no snagging but not too long so there’s loads of cable excess. Most importantly there has been no leaking whatsoever, really happy with that! If I had to criticise them at all I’d say that the jack plug would be better being one of those right angled ones as it protrudes quite far to one side and I feared that it flapping around may eventually lead to deterioration at the connector so I’ve anchored it to the goggles strap with a cable tie to limit potential wear and tear. Other than that a brilliant pair of headphones!

I purchased these earphones, with the longer wire, around 2 years ago and used them 3 times per week for those 2 years. The sound quality was good, but inevitably, as happens with wear and tear on the joining cable became worn and this then reduced the sound quality. I immediately decided to purchase the same brand again as I had such great wear out of the original ones. This time I opted for the short lead and I'm glad I did - much less faffy and no need to tuck the cables under my swim hat - simply slip under the goggle band so keep out of the way. Excellent sound quality, several options for ear plug size and once you get the correct size, they fit well with no movement or water entry. Will be happy to have a further 2 years out of these ones.

At first - they looked ok - if a little flimsy and cheap. Sounded ok when tested. Used a couple of times doing lanes in the swimming pool. When used for the 3rd time - sound was distorted and tinny - no bass and illegible voice. Returned for a refund. Will not buy these again - will invest in better quality ear phones.

I bought this item from H2O in April 2022. The R channel stopped working overnight in late 2023, more than a year after the purchase which was therefore outside normal warranty I reckon. Still I was not impressed, this is not the cheapest on the market and as I treated it well, it should have lasted longer. Thus I contacted customer service to ask if I was missing something and whether they had a quick fix to offer. Within a couple of emails being exchanged they asked for my address and sent me a brand new one that arrived today. That was truly amazing and totally unexpected. It is so rare these days... I never write reviews, but when a company is that exceptional with its customers it is worth ones' time to write something about it. Now I only put 4 stars for the fact that such a product should have worked without any flaws for longer, maybe mine was defective. But it is really 5 stars+ for the after sale service and their no-nonsense approach to it. Would highly recommend considering their mindset and that I am living proof they have high standards of customer care !

Was pleased with sound quality of these and they seemed like a good quality product. They come with lots of different sized silicone ear tips in two different shapes so you should be able to find some that fit correctly. Because they don't fit flush to your ear I found that my swim cap presses on them and moves them out of place. They then sound muffled or completely muted. . If I get them in the sweet spot they stay in place and I have great sound throughout my swim. If not I'm forever having to stop and fiddle with them which is annoying. I use them twice, sometimes 3 times a week. After 4 months the sound in the right ear bud became so distorted they are now unusable. There seem to be several reviews saying they don't last so I won't be buying another pair.

I got these to replace some old ones that I brought on Amazon years ago and these are even better. I hope they last as long as my last ones. I'm a really crap swimmer and it takes me ages to swim a mile and I really get bored but when I get to listen to my music I can swim like a fish. (Or at least it makes me feel as if I can swim like a fish.) LOL

purchased on the 17/04/2025 and already they have begun to buzz and crackle in the left ear bud. Tested with a new set of headphones and they worked fine, so not the MP3 unit, has to be the ear piece that's at fault. These are not cheap as waterproof headphones go and I am really dissapointed with the product!

Great headphones - I’ve spent a while looking for a decent, comfortable pair of head phones for kitesurfing. These were a lot more expensive than I usually would pay but they really do the job. I teamed them up with some custom ear inserts to make sure they don’t fall out and the sound quality and volume is brilliant. I just need to find an MP3 player that can keep up

Haven't used them much but I think they'll be great no tangling.

He comprado estos auriculares varias veces y no he tenido suerte con ellos, le entró agua a una de las partes y dejó de funcionar, no los recomiendo

plus de 150 heures d'utilisation en piscine et lac : son impec sous un bonnet en silicone , juste le fil qui est un peu long

Li ho usati solo due volte, ma mi sembrano valere tutti i soldi che ho pagato: ho provato almeno 5 auricolari diversi, tra quelli forniti in dotazione di mp3 waterproof (anche di livello) e quelli acquistati singolarmente, questi sono nettamente i migliori.

Sonido perfecto. Pero no me sujeta bien la goma del auricular. Cambio por una goma que adentra un poco más y listo.
