Your Pregnancy Nutrition Guide: What to eat when you're pregnant : Norton, Henrietta: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Really fantastic, would highly recommend - I read this lying on a sun lounger, and it was devoured in 2 days. Easy to understand, with a kind and warm tone combined with the obvious expertise and knowledge that Henrietta Norton has on the subject. Plenty of scientific information, but its been made accessible. I especially like the trimester by trimester advice and post-birth guidance. I came away feeling I would be able to choose foods and understand why they would support my baby, rather than just a vague idea. Midwives tend to stick to the same advice about iron, but Henrietta Norton goes much further into the nitty gritty and talking about nutrients I never knew were valuable. Its also packed with delicious recipes that frankly, I would make regardless of pregnancy. I have since bought this for a few friends as its not heavy and a good read on the train or bus - better than lugging around a heavier larger book! I also like the fact that even though Henrietta Norton is an expert, she is also a mother of 3 children. This was a comfort. I think this would also be a book men would appreciate (to guide feeding their pregnant partner properly) as it doesnt go on and on too much, so suits 'get on no fuss' approach men prefer. Review: Informative, essential reading - This book is much needed as there seems to be a gap about nutrition in pregnancy and it is so so important. I'm a midwife expecting my third baby and was surprised how little I knew til I read this. It has totally changed the way I've eaten. Very comprehensive- from conception to postnatal and breastfeeding. Some lovely recipes. Surprisingly interesting and easy to read. If you're pregnant or work with pregnant women please read this book. I'm sure it will become a classic.

Recommend for mums to be who know little about nutrition.
It's informative but perhaps better for someone who knows little about nutrition. I'm sure I'll find labour/ breast feeding chapters more helpful nearer the time. Recipes are Ok.

Clearly written and frankly revelating advice on how to stay healthy during pregnancy. Can't recommend highly enough.
This has been such a useful book during pregnancy but also beyond as it has really kick started me into understanding the importance of minerals and vitamins in preventing stress and burn out which is all part of motherhood too! The meal planner is a brilliant tool and full of delicious recipes I am still using. The author, Henrietta Norton, is also the nutritionist behind the website [...] which sells the most extensive range of fertility/pregnancy/womenโs vitamins and minerals that I have seen. Thank you Henrietta! Canโt recommend highly enough.

Not for me.
Didn't really have many day to day useable recipe's. Seemed very unrealistic.
