It says these are for tropical aquarium, will they work in coldwater aquaria also?

Have been using the white ones for my 25 litre coldwater tank for nine months. I put a couple in a mug etc, pierce them a bit and top up with water, stirring briskly. Add to water set aside for a part change and add when ready. Makes water a bit cloudy initially but after an hour or two comes beautifully clear. Of course I've only got two residents, a larger tank with more at home would need more. Very pleased with them, have been complimented on clarity of tank. Smith and Jones love 'em!

I have a 46 litre tank how many balls would you recommend that I use?

I have two tanks, a half moon and the normal oblong tank. I know what it says but I have found that when I set up my tanks I put in two balls, now I put in 1 every other week. My tank water is always clean and I don't put things in when it's not needed. Good luck!

Can this be used in a turtle tank?

It's best to use these balls in a filter in case fish, turtles try to eat them. As they clean water it would not be harmful to turtles but if there is no filter in their tank best not to use.

Do these balls dissolve in the water and if so how long does it take ?

Yes they dissolve in the water, they dissolve rapidly, you’re supposed to put them in the filter but I have been dropping them straight into my aquarium with no adverse effects ! Great product !
