They sent me another switch without me needing to send back the faulty switch. It now works as expected, and I've change this review to reflect this.Review below was for the first switch I was supplied with, which it seems was faulty:Plugged this into the HDMI port on our three year old TV and tried to watch the same DVD that worked fine when the DVD player was plugged directly into the TV HDMI port.Using this switcher, even with only the DVD player plugged into it, the picture jumps every few seconds, and there is a loud crackle to accompany it. I run my setup through my Xbox One but only have one HDMI port on my TV so I had to keep changing the cable to switch between feeds. This works really well and is compatible with the firestick which is something I was concerned about having seen reviews on similar products that stated they weren't compatible with the Firestick.There was nothing complicated involved with this, just simply plug it in and get going. There is a button on it that allows really easy switching between the feeds.
