The glass doesn’t get stuck in the metal housing, so cleaning is very easy. There’s also no leakage, so no complaints there. The appearance matches the box and the photos here. The metal housing is thin but its durability is strong. My coffee stays hot for over an hour, and normally it’s just me drinking it so that’s a win.

Replacement for a previous Bodum cafetiere which was unfortunately cracked while washing up. Lovely item, good quality. I would have just replaced the glass but it costs less than a pound more to get a new cafetiere without the hassle of having to unscrew the frame. not easy when you're old and arthritic!

Good product, works as expected. However, the threaded end cap on the plunger is made of plastic, and I don't really want plastic coming into contact with hot liquid that I intend to drink. I'm trying to reduce microplastics and chemicals from cookware leaching into my diet. The older model, also made by Bodum, had an all metal filter assembly, including the threaded end cap. I don't like this design change, but I couldn't find an all metal version. The lid of both the old and new version is also plastic, but that doesn't come into contact with the hot liquid, so that's fine, while also providing necessary insulation so you don't burn your hand. It's the plastic threaded end cap on the plunger that submerges into the coffee that I object to, and so loses a star for that reason. I know it's only a small area, but I'm tyring to reduce plastic contact with food wherever I can.

Used these many times - but I broke the glass. The replacement glass was dearer than a complete new one - so bought the new one!

Good item. Pushing the plunger down for the first time (before wetted) needs to be slow, otherwise you will get considerable resistance. I anticipate that it is such resistance that has resulted in previous reviews indicating that the glass broke.

Beutiful compact coffee maker used daily easy to use easy to clean

It says two cups in the description , not sure what cups the designer is drinking from but I like a mug of coffee not a sip .. it’s tiny so if you’re a normal person not a munchkin and like a decent cup/mug size of coffee go for a bigger model , this barely fills half a mug let alone two cups . Other than that it’s does the job so can’t grumble

Ich nutze die Bodum Caffettiera French Press (1L) regelmäßig und bin absolut zufrieden. Der Kaffee schmeckt vollmundig und aromatisch, ganz ohne Papierfilter – genau so, wie ich ihn mag. Mit einem Liter Fassungsvermögen eignet sie sich perfekt für mehrere Tassen oder wenn Besuch da ist. Die Verarbeitung wirkt solide, und das schlichte schwarze Design passt gut in jede Küche. Der Pressmechanismus funktioniert sauber und gleichmäßig, ohne dass viel Kaffeesatz durchgedrückt wird. Die Handhabung ist unkompliziert und schnell gelernt. Auch die Reinigung ist einfach: auseinandernehmen, ausspülen – fertig. Für mich ist die French Press mittlerweile fester Bestandteil meiner Morgenroutine geworden. Preis-Leistung: Für die Qualität und das zeitlose Design finde ich den Preis absolut gerechtfertigt. Wer unkomplizierten, aromatischen Kaffee ohne viel Technik genießen möchte, bekommt hier ein zuverlässiges und langlebiges Produkt.

Esta versión con el vaso de vidrio y el filtro de oruga y rejilla de metal es insuperable. Compré 2 ya qué es raro verlas en stock para México. Había comprado la versión de bodum de vaso y filtro de plástico porque era la única disponible y no me duraron más de un año, la verdad dejaron mucho qué desear. Sin duda esta versión más premium es la efectiva, cuiden mucho el vaso ya qué es frágil, el filtro es fácil de lavar y el plástico de la tapa incluso es más grueso qué la versión económica. Me da gusto volver a tener un producto de calidad como este.

I really like this bodum coffee pot because I don't have to but those expensive K cups. I can make a cup of coffee or several cups. I make my coffee any way I want. I drink serval cups of coffee per day. One small bag of coffee cost $9.00. That will last over a month.
