Does this only work with a eero network or can it work with any router?

It will work with any router, but it will also create its own network with any newer Echo devices it can connect to, yours, your neighbors. So even if you try to block the tracking through your network it will just use your neighbor's network to connect with the mothership and track you that way.

Anyone tried ggmm d5 battery base?

I've used a battery base from GGMM before and it performs well. I also noticed that GGMM has newly released a D5 battery base that can be adapted to this new echo dot 5th gen, and I'm going to buy one.

Does this have a 3.5 mm audio jack?

Sadly no. The 4th Gen Dot does. You can stream music from the 5th Gen Dot to a Bluetooth speaker to get stereo. For those seeking the audio quality benefits of lossless streaming into a stereo system where the benefit can be appreciated, 5th Gen Dot will not allow (Echo Gen 4 will). To the person suggesting you solder wires to the internal speaker - 1st that signal is mono, 2nd not the appropriate level, and 3rd you'd destroy the product trying to get into it - don't do that.

Is there charging dock to compatible with this echo dot?

You can choose a battery base from the Configuration. But I search for echo dot battery base on Amazon, and then I found GGMM D5 battery base that looks neater and lasts longer. I bought GGMM D5.
