So it's just a piece of screen? It does not retract?

Exactly right, it does not retract. Not sure why this listing has the word retractable in the title. The one I bought was just called Instant Screen Door.

Does retractable mean that it rolls up onto the top tube or casing?

no unfortunately is not roll onto the top I tought the same thing but anyway I keep it

They are liers.

It might be good to take the word retractable of your product . It is a lie. This is not what you portrayed in your add. I am very mad and discussed.

Keeps out bugs, no more reminding the kids to close the screendoor.

These screens do not retract, but they are very functional if you have pets or kids that go in and out of the house alot. I have used them for years and think they are very convenient. They keep flying bugs out and work well for kids and pets.
