Perfect fit and OEM original filter for 2001 Ford 7.3L Diesel. Cost more than non OEM but helps with dry starts.

Best Filter for 7.3 L Diesel
This is a bigger filter than the OEM original (FL-784) and I recommend it for the 7.3L diesel. I have a 1993 F250 with the 7.3L IDI and I wouldnt use anything else. I change oil & filter every 8k km and I use this filter. It fits nicely with some room to spare. I used the 1995 filter but it has been replaced with this one. I see no difference.
