I bought this in order to make some carob brownies, which came out great and denser than I expected. Lots of flavor in small brownie. I will look for more recipes to use this.

Delicious and healthy

I honestly thought this was cocoa and was not very happy when I realized I ordered the wrong thing. When I tried it however, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked as a substitute. It is great when mixed with coffee, though it sinks to the bottom rather quickly (but I'm pretty sure regular cocoa does too).

First time using carob powder in anything. I was worried about the reviews that said it wasn’t good because it’s a terrible chocolate substitute, but that’s absolutely not true to me. I grew up drinking Milo, and this stuff has that delicious malty taste. Not quite chocolate, but better. I made a smoothie using a tbsp of this, chickpeas, white beans, a banana, a date, and some ice and water (I’m dairy free and didn’t have any nut milk). You can also probably guess that I’m trying to get my fiber in… Anyway, it was like chocolate milk with a very slight peanut buttery undertone. 10/10
