Is a 1800.1 MD taramp amp good for two of these?

Yes I believe that would be sufficient to push them. The quality of the speakers and sound is amazing. I love them and have bought sets for my new Grand Jeep Cherokee and a set foe my son 2019 Ford Mustang. They rock!!!

Are they better than the db drive 12 2k

I don't know the answer directly but this might help. My 12" Alpine type R distorts around 750-900 watts. I have a 1200 RMS watt Alpine amplifier, the gain is almost bottomed to avoid it going into protect mode. I am looking at other 12" subwoofers with an RMS closer to my amps RMS wattage. How many watts for an amplifier work best for this woofer?

I've seen a lot of videos on YouTube they're running an Alpine m110 1100 watt Mono Amplifier. 12 in Alpine Type R D4 subwoofers our best sounding if you run the 4 Ohms Bridge those down to 2 ohms and then Bridge those down to one into the amp and you'll get 1100 Watts RMS but in order to get 1100 Watts your alternator needs to put out the correct amount of voltage for instance you'll need 14.4 volt for these Subs to work properly and that doesn't include what it takes to run your car like the headlights windshield wipers AC unit/heater Etc. So depending on how much wattage your going to push you may need to beef up your alternator as well and also get a capacitor.
