Osprey Farpoint Fairview Travel Daypack for Men and Women, Gopher Green

Great 15L backpack. Easily fits my 14” MacBook in the laptop pocket. I was worried it was going to be too small, but seems to be the perfect size. It easily fits underneath an airplane seat and you won’t be told “it’s too big to be a personal item”. I was able to pack my MacBook, ipad, cable organizer bag, battery pack charger, two water bottles, and a change of clothing into this bag with some room for other small random items. The material feels durable, back is rigid, yet breathable. I like that I have the ability to lock it, and that it has a built in whistle. Also like Osprey’s warranty (see pic). I do wish it zippered all the way down, but it is still fairly easy to get things in and out of the main compartment without the full zipper. I was previously using a packable Essie Bauer 20L stow away backpack. It was a good bag, but lacked rigidity and the shoulder straps sucked when wearing it for longer than an hour. Love Eddie Bauer, but this Osprey is much better. This bag is rigid, feels nicer, and the shoulder straps are comfortable even if wearing for over an hours. Overall happy with the bag! Good price for a good bag.

Bought this to go with 45L larger carry on bag. They strap together great as one package, than detach easy on boarding so larger pack goes into overhead bin and smaller daypack becomes "personal item" at seat. Good design. Also with both bags for travel day use, you can choose between larger or smaller size for the activity in the day. So good design. While better and unique is day pack can also clip onto front of large pack shoulder straps and become a front carry. This distributes weight better on body for carrying any distance, or to assure security of daypack contents. Sibce clips to top of backpack straps it distributes weight well in this configuration well (I prefer), than all of dual bag weight levering off ones back. Quality of materials and finish good. Already proven sturdy on two overseas trips and looks durable further. Great product (in combo)

I was hesitant because I wasn't sure if it would connect to the fairview rolling backpack. It does! I can wear this in the front and the larger rolling backpack suitcase in the back. I'm sure it will be heavy, but I need to carry my luggage while pushing a wheelchair. It feels like good quality and I'm expecting it to be durable and the only luggage I will need for many years. It should fit under the airport seat but is large enough to hold my laptop.

I bought this bag to clip onto my bigger osprey bag for travel. I use this one for my day to day bag while hiking and exploring. I used this over the course of 5 months on a backpacking trip around the country. I love that it is lightweight and the straps are super comfortable. The hook in the front is perfect for keeping it in place. There’s tons of storage space inside along with a small zipper pocket and a laptop pocket. The front pocket on the outside of the bag is large and I always carry my Kleenex’s , sunglasses, wet wipes, chapstick, phone, and wallet here. With all that there’s still extra space! Each side has space for water bottles or an umbrella on the outside. It’s so easy to hook it onto the other bag for while traveling or to take it off when hopping on a plane. It’s super functional for travel and hiking. Though it got a little dirty, even after 5 months of hard backpacking travel, the bag was super durable with no rips or tears. If I cleaned off the dirt it would still look brand new!

This has quickly become my new everyday carry. The size is just right — compact enough for work or running around town, but still holds everything I need. The small zipper pocket fits way more than expected (phone, earbuds, wallet, and more), and the deep mesh side pockets are great for a water bottle or even sunglasses. Lightweight, comfortable, and well-designed — exactly what I was looking for in a daypack.

I use this as a work bag to keep my computer, notebook, folders, mouse, and a few other things. It’s a small looking bag but can fit quite a bit in it. Sits comfortably on your shoulders and is very portable. It doesn’t take up much space. There is a top pocket, a laptop/hydration bladder pocket on the inside, and a zippered pocket on the laptop pocket. Also 2 mesh pockets on the outside. Although, when the inside is full, you can’t really use the mesh pockets outside. Overall, a good value. I was skeptical to spend this money on a backpack but it’s turned out to be a good purchase with great quality.

i've travelled to 3 countries with this daypack and it holds up well in any weather. I like that there are many pockets that help with keeping things organized, and the multiple loops are helpful in clipping things which further adds to storage capacity. I clipped my water bottle and other small stuff for easy access. Size is ideal to put under the seat in planes. It also packs well when paired with the Osprey Fairview 40L. Because of the structure, it's comfortable to wear on the back for long days. The one reason I'm docking off a star is because of the same structure that I like about it. While it sits close to the body when worn, it doesn't stand up well when laid on a surface. The pack tends to fall forward when full, so it's quite a hassle if your setting it down to get something. You'll either need to lean it against a wall or lay it flat on a surface, which again is a hassle if you're on the road. Otherwise, great bag, functional, sturdy and worth the investment.

This daypack is perfect! I love how it connects to the Fairview travel pack easily for when you need to carry both. It fits under the seat in all airplanes, so the perfect personal item. But also is very heavy duty and high quality. I use it on its own even when I’m not travelling for hikes or day trips. Worth it for sure, especially if you already have the travel pack.

Recientemente he realizado un viaje de "backpacking" por el sudeste asiático durante dos meses, y finalmente me decanté por el modelo Osprey Farpoint 40L combinado con este modelo de mochila de día Farpoint Fairview. Aunque a priori, no tenía muy claro si mi decisión fue la correcta, lo cierto es que acerté por completo en términos de comodidad, agilidad y capacidad. Hay mucha gente que decide viajar como "backpacker" con una sola mochila, ya sea de 40L de capacidad o superior. Pero en mi caso, tenía claro que para el día a día no quería cargar con todo mi equipaje, pero si quería llevar mi dron y iPad conmigo en la mayoría de ocasiones. Por eso me decidí a viajar con 2 mochilas. Si este es tu caso, ya te adelanto que esta combinación no tiene competencia si te centras en comodidad de uso, sobre todo cuando tienes que cargar con ambas al mismo tiempo. Un anclaje sencillo entre ambas hace que el peso se compense, y que cargar con la mochila de 40L sea todavía más sencillo cuando llevas esta en la parte frontal. Una unión entre ambas que nadie ofrece y que sin duda, ha hecho mi viaje mucho más sencillo a la hora de andar con ellas. Quizás el único rival que puedas encontrar que ofrece esta combinación es el modelo Osprey Farpoint 55L, el cual ya incluye esta mochila junto a una mochila de 40L de capacidad (en mi opinión de la Osprey Farpoint 40L te hablo de mi decisión a la hora de adquirirlo por separado). Centrándome en este modelo, quizás no sea la mochila de día más cómoda que puedes comprar. De hecho, compré el modelo Osprey Daylite para comparar. Y lo cierto es que ese modelo ofrece mayor comodidad y dos abrazaderas para que quede mejor sujeta al cuerpo. En este caso, la abrazadera de la cintura se echa en falta y solo tenemos una en la zona del pecho, que por capacidad de la mochila ha sido suficiente. Es cómoda pero no es perfecta. Por ejemplo, la forma de abrirse la cremallera principal, me gustaría que fuese más grande, ya que en este modelo solo se abre y te permite llenarla por la parte superior. Si la llenas en exceso, es posible que no te quepa ni una botella rígida en los bolsillos exteriores laterales de rejilla. En mi caso por ejemplo, utilicé botellas flexibles ya que iba un poco justo de espacio. Eso sí, en su interior tienes un pequeño bolsillo con cremallera y un compartimento para portátil de hasta 15 pulgadas. En definitiva, una buena mochila para el día a día pero que no es la mejor. Solo justifico su compra frente a otras si tienes pensado combinarla con el modelo Osprey Farpoint 40L como ha sido mi caso, ya que la interacción entre ambas marca la diferencia.

Sto usando lo zaino Osprey Firepoint/Fairview ormai per tutti i miei viaggi on the road e non potrei esserne più soddisfatto. È diventato un compagno fisso, soprattutto in combinazione con il modello da 40 litri, il suo “fratello maggiore”: insieme sono un’accoppiata perfetta. Una cosa che adoro è l’innesto diretto sullo zaino grande: rende tutto decisamente più pratico e ti permette di avere sempre le mani libere, sia negli spostamenti che in aeroporto o durante i trasferimenti. È un dettaglio che cambia completamente la comodità generale del viaggio. Il Firepoint/Fairview è comodissimo da indossare, resistente a tutto e anche esteticamente molto bello. La qualità costruttiva si sente subito e, nel suo genere, lo considero davvero il migliore in assoluto. Nonostante le dimensioni compatte, sorprende per quanto riesce a contenere una volta in viaggio. È perfetto quando lasci lo zaino grande in hotel e vuoi muoverti più leggero: mare, escursioni, trekking, giri in città… qualunque cosa tu debba fare durante la giornata, dal mattino alla sera, lui regge benissimo. Pratico, robusto e incredibilmente funzionale. Consigliatissimo.

El producto en sí está hermoso con la calidad característica de la marca. Esta opinión es para su empacado específicamente. Mandaron la mochila doblada por la mitad, lo cual de dañó de manera interna la parte trasera de la mochila y no recupera su forma. Se queda doblada. Creo que para un producto que parte fundamental es justamente la espalda, empacarlo que se dañe de esa manera está fatal.
