Nutramax Welactin Omega 3 Fish Oil for Cats, Skin and Coat Health Supplement, Plus Kidney, Brain, and Vision Support, Premium Omega 3 Fatty Acids EPA and DHA, 4 Ounce Liquid

Bought on recommendation from my vet for my senior cat. Within a few weeks, her coat was super glossy (more than I’ve ever seen it), and she was back to jumping up on counters (which she hasn’t been able to do for about 6 months). Shocked that it’s worked so well. Only downside is that the bottle leaks and the oil has stained it on the outside. Doesn’t look good at all, but effective.

My poor 10 year old cats back fur was in terrible condition. He had scabs and massive hair loss. I did a search and came upon this product. Within about 10 days, he’s totally healed. His coat is sleek and shiny and his skin is smooth. Also, his hair loss has stopped. I highly recommend this product.

Welactin is a great product for a cat's skin coat. My cat had flaky, dandruff like skin and the vet recommended Welactin. She seems to tolerate it well and I have not seen any flaky skin since she started taking the Welactin. My only negative, which I saw others complain about as well, is the included scoop that they give you to measure out the supplement. Because Welactin is an omega-3 fish oil, it is greasy to begin with, but if you use the scoop provided, you will lose additional product when you pour it into the scoop, because it dribbles. I used it one time, and that was to use it to measure out exactly how much was needed. I hated the wasted supplement. If you have a syringe, like ones you use to give liquid medicine to younger children, that is what you should use to measure out the Welactin. They are available at any pharmacy and you may even have a spare at home. All you need is 1 milliliter of Welactin. So, dump the scoop and use the syringe instead. Welactin, please swap out the scoop for a syringe!

This product was recommended to me by my vet for my adult male cat. He always had flaky skin that got worse in the wintertime; almost dandruff-like. Everytime I'd brush him, there would be tons of flakes of skin intertwined with his hair. While it never appeared to bother my cat, I didnt want to let it go forever. I have been using this product for approximately 2 months and my cat has absolutely zero skin flaking anymore. I saw improvement within the first week and it appears his skin is completely healed at this point. His coat has also become much softer, much more shiny, and he appears to shed less. I will continue giving this to him each day with his food through the rest of his life! Highly recommend.

Purchased for our 2 elderly cats who we’ve witness some joint discomfort/pain. Within a couple weeks, we did see improvement in our eldest’s ability to jump, which was awesome! It must not taste bad as they both eat it up. Decent price for the quality. My only complaint is that the spout leaks/drips down the side of the bottle, so it does get messy.

This leaked in transit and had oil everywhere. Can’t attest to its effectiveness, if my cat smells something out of the ordinary in her food she won’t eat it. So she hasn’t had it consistently enough to see results. Some days I’ve been able to get away with one drop in her canned food. Sardines 3-4 times a week would probably yield the same result.

Will need to find another avenue to supply Omega 3 for our cats. Wasted several bowls of wet food when they detected this topping/mixed in supplement. Also, the flip top opening allowed the oil to easily dribble down the sides. Into the trash it went.

This was recommended by my vet to help stop my cats from over scratching themselves. I think it works well, they don't really over scratch anymore and their skin is nice and healthy! Its easy to use too, you just drop a few drops in their food. They eat it, no problem!
