Fun and interesting piano book.
I am a more advanced piano player, but I use this book for easy and fun pieces that don’t require a ton of practice. It has a lot of old fashioned and fun music and I would consider it perfect for any adult beginner. Nice range of easy to slightly more challenging selections.

Good book
Overall I like this collection of pieces. Some are fairly simple and others more challenging. Most are familiar to anyone who enjoys standard pieces. I do like that if I'm in the mood to just play, I have those easier ones, and if I feel like practicing I can turn to the more difficult ones and work a little. Even these are attainable with some effort. None of them are frustratingly impossible for the casual player. They are also easy on the eyes for those of us with vision challenges. My biggest complaint is the order - it makes no sense to me. If asked I would have suggested putting all the classical pieces together in one section and the pop pieces in a second section.

... book to my 12-year-old granddaughter since it was too easy for me
I gave this book to my 12-year-old granddaughter since it was too easy for me. She took it with her to her piano lesson and her teacher was impressed with the songs and the variety of music.

Great copies of a great old book
I played music out of this and the Children's version when I was learning piano back in the 1960's! Most are fairly well know pieces and arranged so they don't frustrate newer players, each is marked with the estimated "grade" (1,2,3) so you know if you are in way over your head. My original copies were falling apart and so very tattered they were practically unusable So, I was elated to find them in print again on nice white pages and with no real changes from the original copies.

Valuable book.
The word beginner is not true. Students need to have 3-4 years of lessons before they can tackle these. The pieces are well arranged and recognized melodies but don’t put this in front of a students with a year or two of lessons!

Not for beginner
First 3 pieces are okay, a beginner can play them. But after that, everything is too difficult. Instead of all those master pieces that are un-playable why not more easy ones for the beginner? Plus there are no instruction and not much finger number, I don't know why they even publish this book... I would say just get the Piano Pieces for Children instead.

Not specific names for classical pieces
This is a very good book for I think intermediate players. It might be a little advanced for beginner players. The order of the songs is a little bit strange, but it works for me. It has a white variety of classical, baroque, romantic, folk, and old pop songs. Some complaints about the book are that many of the classical pieces don't have the full names listed. They will only have a generic name like minuet, or piano sonata, instead of giving a full name. this makes it annoying for when you want to hear a performance of it, but you don't know the full name, especially since the pieces are often transposed to an easier key to play in, so you don't even know it's the sonata in __ what specific key. I've worked around this by joining a Facebook group and asking people what the name of a piece is by playing the melody. Also, the lyrics are sometimes not perfect, they'll be missing a word, or have the wrong word at some points. Silverado, I'm happy with this purchase, but I wish that the book didn't have these couple problems. Andrew

Gutes Beginner Buch

Perfect!
Love this book! Great selection of music, and even though it says beginner, the music pieces are easy to play, but sound more advanced, arranged with adults in mind. Again I love it!

muy bueno
Partituras fáciles de leer, claras y precisas. Una selección variada y muy simple de éxitos clásicos y no tan clásicos. la calidad del libro es bastante buena y su tamaño permite colocarlo en el atril sin que tienda a cerrarse. Me gusta. Ahora sólo falta uno del mismo tipo con música Española.
